Experimental and numerical analysis on effect of fibre aspect ratio on mechanical properties of SRFC
Construction and Building Materials, 2010Abstract Based on experimental results, this paper firstly evaluates the effect of fibre aspect ratio (length-to-diameter) on mechanical characteristics of steel fibre reinforced concrete (SFRC). Analysis reveals that the aspect ratio has an optimal value for strengths in every concrete batch.

Estrogen has important atheroprotective and vasoactive properties related to its capacity to stimulate nitric oxide (NO) production by endothelial NO synthase. Previous work has shown that these effects are mediated by estrogen receptor (ER) alpha functioning in a nongenomic manner via calcium-dependent, MAP kinase-dependent mechanisms.

The hormone estrogen has atheroprotective and vasoactive properties that are at least partially due to direct actions on the vascular endothelium. Although estrogen classically exerts its effects by modifying gene expression through the activation of estrogen receptors (ER) which serve as transcription factors (1), estrogen also has rapid effects on ...
