Comparison of microwave absorption properties of SrFe12O19, SrFe12O19/NiFe2O4, and NiFe2O4 particles

Journal of Applied Physics, 2013
In this study, ferrimagnetic (SrFe12O19, SrFe12O19/NiFe2O4, and NiFe2O4) nanostructure particles were synthesized by the co-precipitation of chloride salts using the sodium hydroxide solution. The resulting precursors were heat-treated at 1100 °C for 4 h.

Magnetic anisotropy of LaCo-substituted SrFe12O19 ferrites

Journal of Magnetism and Magnetic Materials, 2004
Abstract The magnetic anisotropy of LaCo-hexaferrites has been investigated by the use of the singular point detection and the second harmonic techniques in the low-temperature range. Below 200 K a steep rise of the anisotropy field has been observed together with a strong distortion of the magnetization curve which is interpreted as due to ...

Thermochemical studies on SrFe12O19(s)

Materials Research Bulletin, 2005
Abstract The citrate–nitrate gel combustion route was used to prepare SrFe12O19(s) powder sample and the compound was characterized by X-ray diffraction analysis. A solid-state electrochemical cell of the type: (−)Pt, O2(g)/{CaO(s) + CaF2(s)}//CaF2(s)//{SrFe12O19(s) + SrF2(s) + Fe2O3(s)}/O2(g), Pt(+) was used for the measurement of emf as a function ...

Crystal structure of strontium hexaferrite SrFe12O19

Journal of Solid State Chemistry, 1988
The room temperature structure of SrFe/sub 12/O/sub 19/ hexagonal ferrite has been refined from X-ray single-crystal data. Structural isomorphism of the title compound with the hexagonal ferrite BaFe/sub 12/O/sub 19/ has been demonstrated. In particular, it is corroborated that the bipyramidal Fe ions have a fast diffusional motion within a ...

Microwave-assisted synthesis of SrFe12O19 hexaferrites

Journal of Magnetism and Magnetic Materials, 2010
Abstract Ultra-fine and homogeneous SrFe 12 O 19 hexaferrites were synthesized by a microwave-assisted calcination route. The calcined precursors were prepared by a sol–gel auto-combustion method using Fe(NO 3 ) 3 ·9H 2 O, Sr(NO 3 ) 2 and citric acid as starting materials.

Evaluation of microwave and magnetic properties of substituted SrFe12O19 and substituted SrFe12O19/multi-walled carbon nanotubes nanocomposites

Materials Chemistry and Physics, 2013
Abstract SrFe 12− x Cr x /2 Al x /2 O 19 ( x  = 0–2.5) nanoparticles and ferrite/multi-walled carbon nanotubes (MWCNTs) nanocomposites were synthesized by a sol–gel method. The XRD patterns show a relatively weak peak around 26 ° which is corresponding to the graphite (002) lattice plane of the MWCNTs.

Green synthesis of SrFe12O19@Ag and SrFe12O19@Au as magnetic plasmonic nanocomposites with high photocatalytic performance for degradation of organic pollutants

Chemosphere, 2022
Magnetic-plasmonic nanocomposites are suitable candidates for photocatalytic activity due to both optical and magnetic properties. So initially, we synthesized strontium hexaferrite nanoparticles (NPs) by three different methods: microwave, sol-gel Pechini, sol-gel auto-combustion, and SrFe12O19@Ag, SrFe12O19@Au core-shell by ultrasound-assisted auto ...

Structural characterization of low temperature synthesized SrFe12O19

Materials Letters, 2001
SrFe12O19 fine particles were synthesized by the sol–gel method and heat treatment was carried out in oxygen-controlled atmosphere. SrFe12O19 hexaferrite was obtained at 2508C. The effect of the SrCO3 phase hindering the synthesis of the hexaferrite in air atmosphere at lower temperatures is analyzed.

Investigation on magnetic properties of FeSiAl/SrFe12O19 composites

Journal of Materials Science: Materials in Electronics, 2021
FeSiAl/SrFe12O19 composites with different SrFe12O19 contents were prepared, and their microstructure magnetic properties were studied. It can be seen from the SEM morphology picture that the SrFe12O19 powder is relatively fine, filling the gaps between the FeSiAl spherical particles. The SrFe12O19 ferrite has a higher resistivity than FeSiAl alloy and

Preparation and characterization of CNTs–SrFe12O19 composites

Journal of Alloys and Compounds, 2011
SrFe12O19 nanoparticles are adsorbed alongside the CNTs via in situ sol–gel method. The crystal structure and morphology of the as-synthesized sample are characterized by X-ray diffraction pattern (XRD), transmission electron microscope (TEM). The results shown that a large number of the high purity SrFe12O19 nanocrystallites are decorated on the ...
