The Effectiveness of the DIC as a Measurement System in SRG Shear Strengthened Reinforced Concrete Beams

open access: yesCrystals, 2021
Steel Reinforced Grout (SRG) materials are generating considerable interest as strengthening system of reinforced concrete (RC) structures. They are finding increasing use in several civil engineering applications mainly due to the advantages they offer ...

Control of switched reluctance generator in wind power system application for variable speeds

open access: yesAin Shams Engineering Journal, 2021
Switched reluctance generators (SRGs) come into prominence in other electrical machines with its simple structure, only stator winding, reliability, high fault tolerance and the possibility of working within wide speed range.

Analysis of Maximizing the Power Output of Switched Reluctance Generator Using Different Core Materials

open access: yesAdvances in Materials Science and Engineering, 2023
Switched reluctance generator (SRG) has become the key focus of research for its usage in wind power generation. The sizing and performance of SRG depend on the core material used for the stator and rotor.

Design and modelling of self‐excited SRG and FM‐SRG for wind energy generation [PDF]

open access: yesIET Renewable Power Generation, 2021
Abstract The paper discusses the design and analysis of synchronous reluctance generator with a rating of 2.1 kW. These generators with low power ratings may be a suitable candidate for the rural electrification. In synchronous reluctance generator, the design of the rotor is the most challenging part of the design.

Alterations in the Physicochemical Properties and Antioxidant Activity during Aging of Stored Raw Garlic

open access: yesFoods, 2022
Garlic, a once-a-year crop, is mass-produced in a single event. Most of the garlic harvested during the year, unless consumed or processed immediately, should be stored. Stored raw garlic (SRG) can be used to make black garlic (BG) via aging, and storage

Syringin Prevents 6-Hydroxydopamine Neurotoxicity by Mediating the MiR-34a/SIRT1/Beclin-1 Pathway and Activating Autophagy in SH-SY5Y Cells and the Caenorhabditis elegans Model

open access: yesCells, 2023
Defective autophagy is one of the cellular hallmarks of Parkinson’s disease (PD). Therefore, a therapeutic strategy could be a modest enhancement of autophagic activity in dopamine (DA) neurons to deal with the clearance of damaged mitochondria and ...

Observability of HOFNARs at SRG/eROSITA

open access: yesUniverse, 2022
Neutron stars can appear as sources of different nature. In this paper we address the observability of a hypothetical class of neutron stars—HOt and Fast Non-Accreting Rotators, HOFNARs. These objects are heated due to the r-mode instability. With surface temperatures ∼106 K they are expected to be thermal soft X-ray emitters.
