Accuracy assessment of GDEM, SRTM, and DLR-SRTM in Northeastern China

open access: yesGeocarto International, 2015
This paper compares the accuracy of Advanced Spaceborne Thermal Emission and Reflection Radiometer (ASTER) Global Digital Elevation Model (GDEM), Shuttle Radar Topography Mission (SRTM) C-band and German Aerospace Centre (DLR)-SRTM X-band digital elevation models (DEMs) with the Ziyuan 3 (ZY-3) stereoscopic DEM and ground control points (GCPs). To date,

Traffic monitoring using SRTM along-track interferometry [PDF]

open access: yesIGARSS 2003. 2003 IEEE International Geoscience and Remote Sensing Symposium. Proceedings (IEEE Cat. No.03CH37477), 2004
In February 2000, the shuttle radar topography mission SRTM was flown as the first single-pass SAR interferometer in space. The goal was to obtain a global digital elevation model. Therefore, a secondary receive-only antenna on the top of a 60 m long deployable mast supplemented the primary transmit and receive antenna mounted in the shuttle cargo bay.

In vivo PET quantification of the dopamine transporter in rat brain with [¹⁸F]LBT-999. [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
INTRODUCTION: We examined whether [(18)F]LBT-999 ((E)-N-(4-fluorobut-2-enyl)2β-carbomethoxy-3β-(4'-tolyl)nortropane) is an efficient positron emission tomography (PET) tracer for the quantification of the dopamine transporter (DAT) in the healthy rat ...

Landforms identification using neural network-self organizing map and SRTM data [PDF]

open access: yesDesert, 2011
During an 11 days mission in February 2000 the Shuttle Radar Topography Mission (SRTM) collected data over 80% of the Earth's land surface, for all areas between 60 degrees N and 56 degrees S latitude.

W42 - a scalable spatial database system for holding Digital Elevation Models [PDF]

open access: yes, 2009
The design of a scalable system for holding spatial data in general and digital elevation models (DEMs) in specific has to account for the characteristics of data from various application fields.

The relationship between ignimbrite lithofacies and topography in a foothill setting formed on Miocene pyroclastics – a case study from the Bükkalja, Northern Hungary

open access: yesHungarian Geographical Bulletin, 2022
Units with extremely variable erodibility are typical in the succession of pyroclastic-dominated volcanic fields. Welded ignimbrites are usually resistant to erosion, thus, they often appear as positive landforms, i.e., mesas or tilted plateaus after ...

Open source tool for DSMs generation from high resolution optical satellite imagery. Development and testing of an OSSIM plug-in [PDF]

open access: yes, 2017
The fully automatic generation of digital surface models (DSMs) is still an open research issue. From recent years, computer vision algorithms have been introduced in photogrammetry in order to exploit their capabilities and efficiency in three ...
