A time delay correction technique for SS-OCT
Journal of X-Ray Science and Technology, 2015BACKGROUND: K-trigger signals from light source or external Mach-Zehnder interferometer are commonly used in swept source optical coherence tomography (SS-OCT) to achieve interference signal sampling and resolution enhancement. But extra signal transmission time is required due to the increased complexity of interference system using k-trigger signals,

Dual mode-locked swept sources for SS-OCT
SPIE Proceedings, 2016A novel dual-mode-locking mechanism was developed in order to tune an akinetic swept source (AKSS) based on dispersive cavity at a repetition rate close to, but slightly different from the inverse of the cavity roundtrip. Several optical source configurations emitting in the 1060 nm or 1550 nm wavelength region were developed, characterized and tested ...

Signal Reconstruction in SS-OCT using Compressed Sensing
Conference on Lasers and Electro-Optics, 2018We applied compressed sensing to SS-OCT for the first time. We use dispesion-tuned fiber laser for non-uniform k-space sampling. We achieved the same resolution and smaller noise in PSF with less sampling data.

Benchtop SS-OCT – layout and performance evaluation
2017Abstract1— Optical coherence tomography (OCT) is a non-invasive biomedical imaging technique that provides high speed and high resolution three dimensional and cross sectional images of biological samples, in vivo and in situ. OCT applications targeting small animals is believed to bring developments in medical techniques, instruments, diagnosis and ...

Akinetic swept source with adjustable coherence length for SS-OCT
SPIE Proceedings, 2015An electronically controlled optical swept source (SS) at 1550 nm using mode locking in a dispersive ring cavity is described. Active mode-locking was achieved by directly modulating the current of a semiconductor optical amplifier (SOA) used as a gain medium.
