Constrained polynomial fit-based k-domain interpolation in swept-source optical coherence tomography

open access: yesJournal of Innovative Optical Health Sciences, 2021
We propose a k-domain spline interpolation method with constrained polynomial fit based on spectral phase in swept-source optical coherence tomography (SS-OCT).

Phase-inverted sidelobe-annihilated optical coherence tomography to break through the temporal diffraction limit [PDF]

open access: yes, 2015
Understand the tomography system as a temporal microscopy by space-time duality, a simple adjustment was performed on a conventional swept-source optical coherence tomography (SS-OCT), and achieved sharper resolution (~4 μm) for the single layer ...

Identification and characterization of a Streptococcus suis immunogenic ornithine carbamoytransferase involved in bacterial adherence

open access: yesJournal of Microbiology, Immunology and Infection, 2020
Background: Streptococcus suis (SS) is a major swine pathogen and a serious zoonotic pathogen causing septicemia and meningitis in piglets and humans. Using an immunoproteomic approach, we previously brought evidence that ornithine carbamoytransferase ...

In vivo OCT imaging based on la-codoped bismuth-based erbium-doped fiber [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
We demonstrate a Fourier domain mode-locked laser based on lanthanum-codoped bismuth-based erbium-doped fiber (Bi-EDF) for swept source optical coherence tomography (SS-OCT) imaging.

Contribution of swept-source OCT-angiography in analysis of choroidal osteoma and its quiescent neovascular complications: A case study

open access: yesAmerican Journal of Ophthalmology Case Reports, 2020
Purpose: Choroidal osteoma (CO) is a rare benign tumor of the choroid. Improvements in Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT) technologies, notably swept-source (SS), enables a better visualization of the choroid with deeper signal penetration in the tissues.

Automatic Quantitative Assessment of Lens Opacities Using Two Anterior Segment Imaging Techniques: Correlation with Functional and Surgical Metrics

open access: yesDiagnostics, 2022
The purpose of this study is to quantitatively assess lens opacity, using a swept-source optical coherence tomography (SS-OCT) device for anterior segment assessment, and establish the correlation with Scheimpflug imaging, corrected distance visual ...

Recent advances in MEMS-VCSELs for high performance structural and functional SS-OCT imaging [PDF]

open access: yes, 2014
Since the first demonstration of swept source optical coherence tomography (SS-OCT) imaging using widely tunable micro-electromechanical systems vertical cavity surface-emitting lasers (MEMS-VCSELs) in 2011, VCSEL-based SSOCT has advanced in both device ...

Fourier domain optical coherence tomography system with balance detection [PDF]

open access: yes, 2012
A Fourier domain optical coherence tomography system with two spectrometers in balance detection is assembled using each an InGaAs linear camera. Conditions and adjustments of spectrometer parameters are presented to ensure anti-phase channeled spectrum ...

Modeling hepatic fibrosis in TP53 knockout iPSC‐derived human liver organoids

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This study developed iPSC‐derived human liver organoids with TP53 gene knockout to model human liver fibrosis. These organoids showed elevated myofibroblast activation, early disease markers, and advanced fibrotic hallmarks. The use of profibrotic differentiation medium further amplified the fibrotic signature seen in the organoids.

Improved in vivo imaging of human blood circulation in the chorioretinal complex using phase variance method with new phase stabilized 1 μm swept-source optical coherence tomography (pv-SSOCT) [PDF]

open access: yes, 2014
We demonstrate the feasibility of our newly developed phase stabilized high-speed (100 kHz A-scans/s) 1 μm sweptsource optical coherence tomography (SSOCT) system with the phase-variance based motion contrast method for visualization of human ...
