Galvanic Corrosion of Carbon Steel -Stainless Steel Couple in Sulfuric Acid under Flow Conditions

open access: yesJournal of Engineering, 2016
Galvanic corrosion of stainless steel 316 (SS316) and carbon steel (CS) coupled in 5% wt/v sulfuric acid solution at agitation velocity was investigated. The galvanic behavior of coupled metals was also studied using zero resistance ammeter (ZRA) method.

A Bio-Electro-Fenton System Employing the Composite FePc/CNT/SS316 Cathode [PDF]

open access: yesMaterials, 2017
Bio-electro-Fenton microbial fuel cells generate energy through the decomposition of organic matter by microorganisms. The generated electricity drives a Fenton reaction in a cathode chamber, which can be used for the decolorization of dye wastewater. Most of the previous works added expensive platinum catalyst to improve the electrical property of the

Mechanochemical Depolymerization of PET: Kinetic Studies on Alkaline Hydrolysis of Commercial Feedstocks

open access: yesChemSusChem, Volume 19, Issue 3, February 2026.
Complete depolymerization of commercial PET feedstocks in the presence of NaOH is achieved within 20 min under ambient conditions, without any specific sample pretreatment. Depolymerization is accelerated in samples with higher amorphous content due to more efficient interface formation.

A pH Buffer Additive for Aqueous Processing of Spinel and Layered Li‐Ion Positive Electrodes

open access: yesChemElectroChem, Volume 13, Issue 1, January 2026.
An LiH2PO4 buffer enables robust aqueous processing of LNMO and NMC622 positive electrode materials by controlling slurry pH, limiting metal dissolution and Al current‐collector corrosion, and forming a protective phosphate surface layer for crack‐free coatings and stable cycling.

Role of Machine Learning and Big Data Analytics in Enhancing the Efficiency of Gas Metal Arc Welding Process

open access: yesIET Collaborative Intelligent Manufacturing, Volume 8, Issue 1, January/December 2026.
This study applies machine learning and big data analytics to optimise Gas Metal Arc Welding (GMAW) parameters, achieving high predictive accuracy for weld strength, penetration, and width. The methodology overcomes experimental data limitations by aggregating literature datasets and comparing multiple supervised algorithms. While demonstrated on GMAW,

Parameter development for near-fully dense LPBF-produced stainless steel 316 using a design of experiment approach [PDF]

open access: yesMATEC Web of Conferences
This study aims to develop parameters that minimize porosity in SS316 using a Design of Experiments approach (DOE). Employing the D- Optimal (D-Optimal) method and ANOVA, we determined a quadratic model for predicting porosity.
