SSDP cofactors regulate neural patterning and differentiation of specific axonal projections

open access: yesDevelopmental Biology, 2011
The developmental activity of LIM homeodomain transcription factors (LIM-HDs) is critically controlled by LIM domain-interacting cofactors of LIM-HDs (CLIM, also known as NLI or LDB). CLIM cofactors associate with single-stranded DNA binding proteins (SSDPs, also known as SSBPs) thereby recruiting SSDP1 and/or SSDP2 to LIM-HD/CLIM complexes.

Ssdp proteins interact with the LIM-domain-binding protein Ldb1 to regulate development [PDF]

open access: yesProceedings of the National Academy of Sciences of the United States of America, 2002
The LIM-domain-binding protein Ldb1 is a key factor in the assembly of transcriptional complexes involving LIM-homeodomain proteins and other transcription factors that regulate animal development. We identified Ssdp proteins (previously described as sequence-specific, single-stranded-DNA-binding proteins) as components of Ldb1 ...

SSDP+: A Diverse and More Informative Subgroup Discovery Approach for High Dimensional Data

2018 IEEE Congress on Evolutionary Computation (CEC), 2018
This paper presents an evolutionary approach for mining diverse and more informative subgroups focused on high dimensional data sets. Subgroup Discovery (SD) is an important tool for knowledge discovery that aims to identify sets of features that distinguish a target group from the others (e.g. successful from unsuccessful treatments). At the same time,

Ssdp proteins bind to LIM-interacting co-factors and regulate the activity of LIM-homeodomain protein complexes in vivo [PDF]

open access: yesDevelopment (Cambridge), 2003
LIM-homeodomain transcription factors control a variety of developmental processes, and are assembled into functional complexes with the LIM-binding co-factor Ldb1 (in mouse) or Chip (in Drosophila). We describe the identification and characterization of members of the Ssdp family of proteins, which we show to interact with Ldb1 and Chip. The N terminus

SSDP: A Slot-Sensitive Data Placement Strategy in Cloud Computing

2015 Third International Conference on Advanced Cloud and Big Data, 2015
Since preserving data locality is very important in MapReduce frameworks, the placement of jobs' input data becomes critical for MapReduce job performance. However, existing data placement strategies applied in MapReduce based file systems lack the efficient control of data storage.

SSDP: A Simple Evolutionary Approach for Top-K Discriminative Patterns in High Dimensional Databases

2016 5th Brazilian Conference on Intelligent Systems (BRACIS), 2016
It is a great challenge to companies, governments and researchers to extract knowledge in high dimensional databases. Discriminative Patterns (DPs) is an area of data mining that aims to extract relevant and readable information in databases with target attribute. Among the algorithms developed for search DPs, it has highlighted the use of evolutionary
