ANALYSIS AND TRANSFERABILITY OF EST-SSR MARKERS IN GRAPES
Acta Horticulturae, 2009Recent increase in the availability of expressed sequence tag (EST) data has facilitated the development of microsatellite markers in a number of plant species, including grapevine. We identified 23 ESTs containing perfect simple sequence repeats (EST-SSR) of di-, tri-, tetra-, and penta-nucleotide type from 506 expressed sequence tags (EST ...

SSR MARKERS ANALYSIS OF THE SARDINIAN GRAPE GERMPLASM
Acta Horticulturae, 2011Sardinia has an ancient history as a secondary grape domestication centre, having developed a wide variety of different Vitis cultivars that lasts nowadays. Our work focused on giving a molecular basis of identification, through SSR, over this large genetic pool as a conservation strategy to manage field collection at local level.

[New analysis of EST-SSR distribution and development of EST-SSR markers in Salvia miltiorrhiza].
Zhongguo Zhong yao za zhi = Zhongguo zhongyao zazhi = China journal of Chinese materia medica, 2011To establish the new EST-SSR markers for analyzing the genetic variation of different population of Salvia miltiorrhiza. It was dealt with ESTs newly downloaded from Genbank and that of acquired from HMPL lab EGassembler software, and then carried out SSR loci search and SSR type analysis by SSRIT software. After that, it was designed the EST-SSR primer

FINGERPRINTING IN RASPBERRY BY SSRS ANALYSIS AND CULTIVAR CHARACTERISATION
Acta Horticulturae, 2012Fruit quality, sustainable production and content of healthy compounds are the main objectives of many berry breeding programs. The conformity of nursery materials and correct correspondence of the cultivars is a key factor for growers and consumers.

In silicoanalysis of SSRs in mitochondrial genomes of fishes
Mitochondrial DNA, 2014The availability of fish mitochondrial (mt) genomes provides an opportunity to explore the simple sequence repeats. In the present study, mt genomes of 85 fish species reported from Indian subcontinent were downloaded from NCBI and computationally analysed for finding SSRs types, frequency of occurrence, mutation and evolutionary adaptation across ...

Genetic Analysis and SSR Marker of Tolerance to Submergence in Rice
HEREDITAS, 2006Submergence stress has severe harm to rice (Oryza sativa L.) production. It is important to identify molecular markers associated with tolerance to submergence for marker-assisted selection (MAS). F1 and F2 populations ware obtained from reciprocal crosses between submergence tolerant parent FR13A and submergence sensitive parent IR39595-503-2-1-2.

In Silico Analysis of SSRs in Mitochondrial Genomes of Plants
OMICS: A Journal of Integrative Biology, 2011Abstract Simple sequence repeats (SSRs) or microsatellites constitute a countable portion of genomes. However, the significance of SSRs in organelle genomes has not been completely understood. The availability of organelle genome sequences allows us to understand the organization of SSRs in their genic and intergenic regions.

Analysis of SSRs derived from grape ESTs
Theoretical and Applied Genetics, 2000One hundred and twenty four microsatellites were isolated from analysis of 5000 Vitis expressed se- quence tags (ESTs). A diversity of dinucleotide and tri- nucleotide simple sequence repeat (SSR) motifs were present. Primers were designed for 16 of these SSRs and they were tested on seven accessions.

Evidence of a secondary grapevine domestication centre detected by SSR analysis
Theoretical and Applied Genetics, 2003The origin of the grapevine was investigated with archaeobotanical, cultural and historical data. A primary domestication centre was located in the Near East region but there is no agreement on the existence or role of secondary domestication centres. In this work, PCR-based microsatellite analysis has been applied to study the origin of some Italian ...
