Secure Switch-and-Stay Combining (SSSC) for Cognitive Relay Networks [PDF]

open access: yesIEEE Transactions on Communications, 2016
In this paper, we study a two-phase underlay cognitive relay network, where there exists an eavesdropper who can overhear the message. The secure data transmission from the secondary source to secondary destination is assisted by two decode-and-forward (DF) relays.

Comparison of Three Optimization Algorithms for Designing a Robust Power System With an Advanced Heffron–Phillips Model

open access: yesJournal of Electrical and Computer Engineering, Volume 2026, Issue 1, 2026.
Low‐frequency oscillations are created in the power system due to the interconnection of large electric networks with weak tie‐lines, heavy power exchanges, and sudden changes in load demand and generation, which must be damped quickly for stability.

A Spectroscopic Investigation of Halogen Bonding for the Adsorption Process of Grafted Chitosan With Fluorescein Versus Rose Bengal Dye Systems

open access: yesChemistrySelect, Volume 10, Issue 47, December 15, 2025.
Chitosan was modified by grafting of aniline via cross‐linking with urea and characterized by complementary methods. Adsorption studies of chitosan and its grafted form were carried out in single‐component solutions of fluorescein (FL) and rose bengal (RB), along with their binary (FL+RB) mixtures.

Optimal Location and Sizing of Static Var Compensator (SVC) to Improve Voltage Profile in Distribution Network

open access: yesEngineering Reports, Volume 7, Issue 10, October 2025.
Optimized placement of SVC in a 33‐bus distribution system improves voltage profile, increasing the voltage profile from 94.69% to 97.90%, ensuring voltages remain within acceptable limits (0.95–1.05 p.u.) using optimal capacitor sizing and location, enhancing system reliability and power quality.
