A series of 100 deaths from homicidal stabbing has been analysed for the causation of the violence, the age and sex of both the victim and the assailant, the multiplicity of wounds, the site of single wounds, the incidence of defence wounds, association with other injuries and the weapons used.

ROUTEN.

Stabbing facial pain reminiscent of primary stabbing headache
Cephalalgia, 2020Primary stabbing headache (PSH) is a transient and localized headache disorder. Facial variants of this rare pain syndrome have not been previously described. Four patients (n = 2 female, 2 male) presented themselves to our headache and facial pain outpatient clinic.

Determining the manner of death in cases involving multiple stab injuries from a knife is generally straightforward. The medico-legal investigation of a stabbing death caused by a single stab injury from a knife comprises a smaller but potentially more problematic subset of forensic cases.

Approximation of Rectangle Stabbing and Interval Stabbing Problems
2004The weighted rectangle multi-stabbing problem (WRMS) can be described as follows: given is a grid in \(\mathop{I\!\!R}^2\)consisting of columns and rows each having a positive integral weight, and a set of closed axis-parallel rectangles each having a positive integral demand.

An algorithm for the geometric problem of determining a line (called a stabbing line) which intersects each ofn given line segments in the plane is presented. As a matter of fact, the algorithm computes a description of all stabbing lines. A purely geometric fact is proved which infers that this description requiresO(n) space to be specified.

In the trauma unit of the Bloemfontein Academic Complex, the total number of stab wounds seen represents approximately 70.5% of penetrating injuries, which is 6.4% of 5004 trauma cases seen in a period of 1 year. The other cases are gunshot wounds and pedestrian or motor vehicle accidents.

Primary stabbing headache is characterized by transient, cephalic ultrashort stabs of pain. It is a frequent complaint with a prevalence of 35.2%, a female preponderance, and a mean age of onset of 28 years (Vågå study). Attacks are generally characterized by moderate to severe, jabbing or stabbing pain, lasting from a fraction of a second to 3s ...
