Stabbing Delaunay Tetrahedralizations [PDF]

open access: yesDiscrete & Computational Geometry, 2004
In this remarkable paper a Delaunay tetrahedralization of \(n\) vertices is exhibited for which a straight line passes through the interior of \(\Theta(n^2)\) tetrahedra. This solves an open problem of Amenta [see \textit{N. Amenta} and \textit{G. Ziegler}, Contemp. Math. 223, 57--90 (1999; Zbl 0916.90205)], who asked whether a line can stab more than \

Exploiting metabolic adaptations to overcome dabrafenib treatment resistance in melanoma cells

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
We show that dabrafenib‐resistant melanoma cells undergo mitochondrial remodeling, leading to elevated respiration and ROS production balanced by stronger antioxidant defenses. This altered redox state promotes survival despite mitochondrial damage but renders resistant cells highly vulnerable to ROS‐inducing compounds such as PEITC, highlighting redox
