Mitochondria contain two mitoribosome rescue factors, ICT1 and MTRFR (C12orf65). ICT1 also functions as a mitoribosomal protein in mice and humans, and its loss is lethal. Although Mtrfr knockout mice could not be generated, knockout zebrafish lines for ict1 and mtrfr were established.

NOTCH2NLC Repeat Expansions in Parkinsonian Disorders: Clinical and Neuroimaging Characteristics
ABSTRACT Objective Neuronal intranuclear inclusion disease (NIID) is a neurodegenerative disorder caused by NOTCH2NLC GGC repeat expansions, with heterogeneous clinical manifestations, including parkinsonism. Recent studies have identified NOTCH2NLC repeat expansions in patients with Parkinson's disease (PD) and atypical parkinsonism (aPM), suggesting ...

Three years with a knife stuck in the brain
Cranial stabbing injuries penetrating the brain are not commonly encountered. The cases in which the knife is retained constitute a challenge to the neurosurgeon. When a long-term permanence occurs, the reaction to the presence of the foreign body causes

Stability conditions on morphisms in a category
Let $\mathrm{h}\mathscr{C}$ be the homotopy category of a stable infinity category $\mathscr{C}$. Then the homotopy category $\mathrm{h}\mathscr{C}^{\Delta^{1}}$ of morphisms in the stable infinity category $\mathscr{C}$ is also triangulated.

From Damage to Functionality: Remanufacturing of Thrust Roller Bearings by Tailored Forming
Herein, the wear and fatigue behavior of repaired bearing raceways with a new powder alloy is investigated using a FE8 test‐rig and an oscillating tribometer. The tests are compared with industrial manufactured bearings to evaluate the repair quality. The repair can extend the service life of the repaired bearing to that of a new bearing and improves ...

Stab Wound Extension for the Eviscerated Small Bowel with Severe Ischemic Changes [PDF]
An abdominal stab wound with evisceration is an indication of an emergency laparotomy. We encountered a case of a very severe ischemic change in the eviscerated small bowel as a result of stabbing. The patient was considered to have a high possibility of

Hydrostatic bearings excel in high‐precision applications, but their performance hinges on a continuous external supply. This study evaluates various material combinations for sliding surfaces to mitigate damage during supply failures or misalignment and to discover the most effective materials identified for enhancing the reliability and efficiency of

Lipschitz retraction and distortion for subgroups of Out(F_n) [PDF]
Given a free factor A of the rank n free group F_n, we characterize when the subgroup of Out(F_n) that stabilizes the conjugacy class of A is distorted in Out(F_n).
