Udział sektora publicznego w kosztach ratowania banków w świetle nowych przepisów w zakresie restrukturyzacji i uporządkowanej likwidacji

open access: yesProblemy Zarządzania, 2015
Public support provided to banks during the crisis has incentivised reforms at EU level which aim at limiting costs of banks’ failures incurred by taxpayers.

Sustainability of public finances and automatic stabilisation under a rule of budgetary discipline [PDF]

open access: yes
This paper addresses the question of how a fiscal rule of a general type can preserve the sustainability of public finances and provide automatic stabilisation, taking as given interest rates and price stability.

Preferential site occupancy of alloying elements in TiAl-based phases

open access: yes, 2016
First principles calculations are used to study the preferential occupation of ternary alloying additions into the binary Ti-Al phases, namely $\gamma$-TiAl, $\alpha_2$-Ti$_3$Al, $\beta_{\mathrm{o}}$-TiAl, and B19-TiAl. While the early transition metals (

Transcriptional network analysis of PTEN‐protein‐deficient prostate tumors reveals robust stromal reprogramming and signs of senescent paracrine communication

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Combining PTEN protein assessment and transcriptomic profiling of prostate tumors, we uncovered a network enriched in senescence and extracellular matrix (ECM) programs associated with PTEN loss and conserved in a mouse model. We show that PTEN‐deficient cells trigger paracrine remodeling of the surrounding stroma and this information could help ...

A group-based approach to stabilisation and symptom management in a phased treatment model for refugees and asylum seekers

open access: yesEuropean Journal of Psychotraumatology, 2013

Light Stabilisers

open access: yesCHIMIA, 2002
The degradation pathways for polymeric materials and coatings under the influence of light and oxygen are presented and the consequent need for light-protecting agents (light stabilisers) is discussed. The mechanisms of action of hindered amine light stabilisers and certain UV-absorbers are explained.

Potential therapeutic targeting of BKCa channels in glioblastoma treatment

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This review summarizes current insights into the role of BKCa and mitoBKCa channels in glioblastoma biology, their potential classification as oncochannels, and the emerging pharmacological strategies targeting these channels, emphasizing the translational challenges in developing BKCa‐directed therapies for glioblastoma treatment.

Energy inequalities and dispersive estimates for wave equations with time-dependent coefficients [PDF]

open access: yes, 2009
We consider wave models with lower order terms and recollect some recent results on energy and dispersive estimates for their solution based on symbolic type estimates for coefficients and partly stabilisation conditions.

Cell surface interactome analysis identifies TSPAN4 as a negative regulator of PD‐L1 in melanoma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Using cell surface proximity biotinylation, we identified tetraspanin TSPAN4 within the PD‐L1 interactome of melanoma cells. TSPAN4 negatively regulates PD‐L1 expression and lateral mobility by limiting its interaction with CMTM6 and promoting PD‐L1 degradation.

LDAcoop: Integrating non‐linear population dynamics into the analysis of clonogenic growth in vitro

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Limiting dilution assays (LDAs) quantify clonogenic growth by seeding serial dilutions of cells and scoring wells for colony formation. The fraction of negative wells is plotted against cells seeded and analyzed using the non‐linear modeling of LDAcoop.
