Calculation of highly structured stability margins

International Journal of Control, 1989
Abstract The problem of assessing the robust stability of a closed-loop system subject to plant uncertainty is addressed. Earlier techniques allow only a limited amount of structure information uncertainty and thus can often lead to conservative results.

An Improved Longitudinal Stability Calculation

Journal of the Aeronautical Sciences, 1942
The conventional method of calculating static longitudinal stability is improved by taking into account the moment of the fuselage in addition to the wing and tail moments about the center of gravity of an airplane. The general equation for the fuselage moment, which is always unstable or stalling, is derived and presented in terms of the dynamic ...

Calculation of the Multiloop Stability Margin

1986 American Control Conference, 1986
A mapping theorem by Zadeh and Desoer [1] serves as the basis for an algorithm that computes the stability margin k m of diagonally perturbed multivariable feedback systems without conservativeness. The algorithm is applicable to both real and complex parameter uncertainty.

Stability Calculations for Offshore Gravity Structures

Offshore Technology Conference, 1976
Due to a paper numbering error, this number was previously assigned to apaper presented at the 1975 Offshore Technology Conference. Todistinguish between the two papers, the filename extension -A has been added tothe 1975 paper and the filename extension -B has been added to this paper.

Stabilization calculations on a N2− resonance

The Journal of Chemical Physics, 1973
Stabilization calculations were made on the Σg+2 state of N2−, which may be responsible for the elastic electron scattering resonance at 11.48 eV. A binding energy of 0.21 eV relative to the E3Σg+ Rydberg state was obtained.

Calculational Technique for Stability Integral Gradients

The Physics of Fluids, 1964
A technique for obtaining stability integral gradients in plasma equilibrium studies is presented. The technique is based on the introduction of an artificial hamiltonian whose associated action integral may be identified with integrals along magnetic field lines. (C.E.S.)

Stability calculations in jointed rock mass: Dissertation

1989
An isoparametric two dimensional joint element with independent non linear behaviour models for normal and shear stress has been used to study different failure criteria and the accuracy of calculations.Testing of the behaviour models indicated similar results obtained by other researchers with different finite element codes.JRTEMP is the first finite ...

Analytical method of calculating slope stability

Hydrotechnical Construction, 1989
Methods of calculating slope stability in which the equilibrium conditions are not fulfilled can be used only for preliminary calculations if there are no considerable horizontal loads. In this case, it is recommended to use Terzaghi's method, introducing our proposed correction factor to the frictional forces on the failure surface.
