Dynamic Stability of Copper Single-Atom Catalysts under Working Conditions.

Journal of the American Chemical Society, 2022
The long-term stability of single-atom catalysts is a major factor affecting their large-scale commercial application. How to evaluate the dynamic stability of single-atom catalysts under working conditions is still lacking.

Conditions and conditioning, stability and stabilization

Applied Mathematics and Computation, 1989
The author reviews several concepts, including condition and stability, useful for dealing with the numerical solution of boundary value problems. In order to investigate a class of second order scalar problems, a generalization of the concept of well-conditioning is considered. The results are applied to the Korteweg-de Vries and Burgers equations.

MARFE onset conditions and stability

Journal of Nuclear Materials, 1999
Abstract The MARFE stability is considered on closed magnetic field lines in a configuration having an X-point. The model incorporates both perpendicular and parallel transport and takes into account the flux expansion in the vicinity of the X-point.

Improved Stability Conditions for Switched Positive Linear Time-Varying Systems

IEEE Transactions on Circuits and Systems - II - Express Briefs, 2019
This note considers the problem of asymptotic stability for switched positive linear time-varying (LTV) systems. Some improved stability conditions are given for the positive LTV systems and switched positive LTV systems by using time-varying copositive ...

Necessary Stability Conditions for Linear Difference Equations in Continuous Time

IEEE Transactions on Automatic Control, 2018
A study on the stability of continuous-time difference equations is presented. Based on the construction of the analogous of the delay Lyapunov matrix for this class of equations, a complete type Lyapunov–Krasovskii functional is proposed, that allows to

The condition for dynamic stability

Journal of Biomechanics, 2005
The well-known condition for standing stability in static situations is that the vertical projection of the centre of mass (CoM) should be within the base of support (BoS). On the basis of a simple inverted pendulum model, an extension of this rule is proposed for dynamical situations: the position of (the vertical projection of) the CoM plus its ...

q-stability conditions on Calabi–Yau-𝕏 categories

Compositio Mathematica, 2018
We introduce $q$-stability conditions $(\sigma,s)$ on Calabi–Yau-$\mathbb {X}$ categories $\mathcal {D}_\mathbb {X}$, where $\sigma$ is a stability condition on $\mathcal {D}_\mathbb {X}$ and $s$ a complex number.

Conditions for Equilibrium Solid-Stabilized Emulsions

The Journal of Physical Chemistry B, 2010
Particular types of solid-stabilized emulsions can be thermodynamically stable as evidenced by their spontaneous formation and monodisperse droplet size, which only depends on system parameters. Here, we investigate the generality of these equilibrium solid-stabilized emulsions with respect to the basic constituents: aqueous phase with ions, oil, and ...

Stability Conditions for DPCM Coders

IEEE Transactions on Communications, 1982
Differential pulse code modulation (DPCM) systems, used for encoding signals, are recursive and can exhibit instability under certain conditions. In this paper, sufficient conditions for asymptotic stability of multidimensional DPCM systems are obtained both in the signal domain and the transform domain.

On Liapounoff's Conditions of Stability

The Annals of Mathematics, 1949
1. In his well known paper, "Problbme general de la stabilite du mouvement" [3], Liapounoff has given several general criteria for the stability of a solution of a system of differential equations, independently of the consideration of the variational equations.
