Prognostic Impact of Treatment Modalities, Including Targeted Compartmental Radio‐Immunotherapy, in a Cohort of Neuroblastoma Patients With CNS Metastases at Relapse

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Introduction Neuroblastoma (NB) with central nervous system (CNS) metastases is rare at diagnosis, but occurs more often during relapse/progression. Patients with CNS metastases face a dismal prognosis, with no standardized curative treatment available.

An Analytical Study on the Synchronization of a Two-Cell Inhibitory Neural Dynamics

open access: yesMathematics
Biophysical observations in different brain regions have displayed synchronous firing in inhibitory neural networks. Although inhibition reduces the postsynaptic neuron’s activity, coordinated synchronous rhythms could be predicted provided that ...

Stability of SARS‐CoV‐2 and other coronaviruses in the environment and on common touch surfaces and the influence of climatic conditions: A review

open access: yesTransboundary and Emerging Diseases, 2020
Although the unprecedented efforts the world has been taking to control the spread of the human coronavirus disease (COVID‐19) and its causative aetiology [severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS‐CoV‐2)], the number of confirmed cases has ...

Pathogenic Germline PALB2 and RAD50 Variants in Patients With Relapsed Ewing Sarcoma

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Approximately 10% of patients with Ewing sarcoma (EwS) have pathogenic germline variants. Here, we report two cases: first, a novel germline pathogenic variant in partner and localizer of BRCA2 (PALB2) in a patient with a late EwS relapse. Its impact on homologous recombination is demonstrated, and breast cancer risk is discussed.

A short proof of the deformation property of Bridgeland stability conditions [PDF]

open access: yesMathematische Annalen, 2016
The key result in the theory of Bridgeland stability conditions is the property that they form a complex manifold. This comes from the fact that given any small deformation of the central charge, there is a unique way to correspondingly deform the ...
