Stability Constants in Linear Spaces
Constructive Approximation, 2010Let \(X\) be a linear space over the reals, \(D\subset X,\) and let \(E\) be a Banach space. A function \(f:D\to E\) is said to be \(\delta\)-Jensen if \[ \left\| f\left(\frac{x+y}{2}\right)-\frac{f(x)+f(y)}{2}\right\|\leq\delta \] whenever \(x,y,(x+y)/2\in D.\) The stability constant for Jensen equation is the infimum of those constants \(C\) for ...

Stability Constants for Courant Approximations
Journal of Mathematical Sciences, 2001Summary: This article deals with investigation of constants of stability for the Courant approximation in metrics of spaces \(L_2\) and \(W_2^1\) in the class of triangular grids with uniformly bounded angles as well as with angles which tend to zero. In the first case numerical estimates of the Courant constants are proposed.

Piecewise-Constant Stabilization
SIAM Journal on Control and Optimization, 1999In this paper the author addresses the feedback stabilization problem for continuous-time and discrete-time nonlinear control systems. After presenting necessary conditions for the stabilization via smooth feedbacks, the author turns to the main topic, which is the stabilization via piecewise constant feedback laws, i.e. mappings \(u: \mathbb R^n\to U\)

Stability of Poincar{} constant
2021We study stability of the sharp Poincar{ } constant of the invariant probability measure of a reversible diffusion process satisfying some natural conditions. The proof is based on the spectral interpretation of Poincar{ } inequalities and Stein's method.

Stability constants of some metal dithizonates
Talanta, 1973The overall stability constants of electroneutral dithizonates of bismuth, cadmium, cobalt(II), copper(II), iron(II), lead(II), manganese(II), mercury(II), nickel, palladium(II), silver, tin(II) and zinc were determined by means of stoichiometric dilution in aqueous solution stabilized by hydroxylamine hydrochloride, at pH 5.50-10.02.

Stability constants of aluminium fluoride complexes
Talanta, 1971Pointwise titrations of aluminium nitrate solutions with sodium fluoride were made at ionic strengths of 0.5, 0.2, 0.1 and 0.05M and at temperatures of 25 degrees and 37 degrees . The total Al(3+) concentration was kept constant at 5 x 10(-4)M and the total F(-) concentration covered the range 5-20 x 10(-4)M with a minimum of 20 points per titration ...

Self-Stabilizing Symmetry Breaking in Constant Space
SIAM Journal on Computing, 2002Summary: We investigate the problem of self-stabilizing round-robin token management on a bidirectional ring of identical processors. Each processor is an asynchronous probabilistic finite state (i.e., constant space) machine which sends and receives constant-size messages and whose state transition is triggered by the receipt of a message.
