The asymptotic stability of difference equations
The paper discusses the stability properties of the linear delay difference equation \[ x_{n+1}-x_n=-a_nx_{n-k} , \tag{1} \] where \(a_n\geq 0\) and \(k\geq 1\). As the main result it is proved that if \[ \sum_{n=0}^{\infty}a_n=\infty \tag{"(C1)"} \] and \[ \underset{n\to\infty}\limsup \sum_{j=n-2k}^{n-1 ...

Pre‐analytical handling critically determines liquid biopsy performance. This study defines practical best‐practice conditions for cell‐free DNA (cfDNA) and extracellular vesicle–derived DNA (evDNA), showing how processing time, storage conditions, tube type, and plasma input volume affect DNA integrity and mutation detection.

High order compact finite difference schemes for a nonlinear Black-Scholes equation [PDF]
A nonlinear Black-Scholes equation which models transaction costs arising in the hedging of portfolios is discretized semi-implicitly using high order compact finite difference schemes. In particular, the compact schemes of Rigal are generalized.

Somatic mutational landscape in von Hippel–Lindau familial hemangioblastoma
The causes of central nervous system (CNS) hemangioblastoma in Von Hippel–Lindau (vHL) disease are unclear. We used Whole Exome Sequencing (WES) on familial hemangioblastoma to investigate events that underlie tumor development. Our findings suggest that VHL loss creates a permissive environment for tumor formation, while additional alterations ...

Nash Equilibrium and Robust Stability in Dynamic Games: A Small-Gain Perspective [PDF]
This paper develops a novel methodology to study robust stability properties of Nash equilibrium points in dynamic games. Small-gain techniques in modern mathematical control theory are used for the first time to derive conditions guaranteeing uniqueness

Beyond its role in immune evasion, this study identified that CD47 drives tumor‐intrinsic signaling in non‐small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). Transcriptomic profiling and functional studies revealed that CD47 regulates cell adhesion, migration, and metastasis through an ERK–EMT signaling axis.

Hyers-Ulam Stability of Fractional Nabla Difference Equations [PDF]
We investigate the Hyers-Ulam stability, the generalized Hyers-Ulam stability, and the Fα-Hyers-Ulam stability of a linear fractional nabla difference equation using discrete Laplace transform. We provide a few examples to illustrate the applicability of established results.

Hijacking emergency granulopoiesis: Neutrophil ontogeny and reprogramming in cancer
Neutrophils are highly plastic innate immune cells; their functions in cancer extend beyond the tumour microenvironment. This Review summarises current understanding of neutrophil maturation and heterogeneity and highlights tumour‐induced granulopoiesis as a systemic programme that expands immature, immunosuppressive neutrophils via tumour‐derived ...

Here, we demonstrate that HS1BP3 interacts with Cortactin through a proline‐rich region (PRR3.1) and show that this interaction, and HS1BP3 itself, promote cancer cell proliferation and invasion. Inhibition of this interaction leads to build‐up of TKS5 in multivesicular endosomes and altered secretion of CD63 and CD9, providing an explanation for the ...
