The Robustness of Strong Stability of Positive Homogeneous Difference Equations
We study the robustness of strong stability of the homogeneous difference equation via the concept of strong stability radii: complex, real and positive radii in this paper. We also show that in the case of positive systems, these radii coincide. Finally,

Strong Stability of Linear Delay-Difference Equations
This paper considers linear delay-difference equations, that is, equations relating the state at a given time with its past values over a given bounded interval. After providing a well-posedness result and recalling Hale--Silkowski Criterion for strong stability in the case of equations with finitely many pointwise delays, we propose a generalization ...

Structural and biochemical characterisations show that the planar cell polarity (PCP) protein Inturned harbours a unique PDZ‐like domain that does not bind canonical PDZ‐binding motifs (PBMs) like that of another PCP protein Vangl2. In contrast, the apical‐basal polarity protein Scribble contains four PDZ domains that bind Vangl2, but one PDZ domain ...

Global behavior of the solutions of some difference equations
In this article we study the difference equation x n + 1 = a x n - l x n - k b x n - p - c x n - q , n = 0 , 1 , … , where the initial conditions x-r, x-r+1, x-r+2,..., x0 are arbitrary positive real ...

On the global stability of some k-order difference equations [PDF]
We use two different techniques, one of them including fixed point tools, i.e., the Prešić type fixed point theorem, in order to study the asymptotic stability of some k-order difference equations for k = 1 and k = 2. In this way, we can study the global

Tau acetylation at K331 has limited impact on tau pathology in vivo
We mapped tau post‐translational modifications in humanized MAPT knock‐in mice and in amyloid‐bearing double knock‐in mice. Acetylation within the repeat domain, particularly around K331, showed modest increases under amyloid pathology. To test functional relevance, we generated MAPTK331Q knock‐in mice.

Reducibility and Stability Results for Linear System of Difference Equations
We first give a theorem on the reducibility of linear system of difference equations of the form x(n+1)=A(n)x(n). Next, by the means of Floquet theory, we obtain some stability results.

Stability Analysis of a Class of Higher Order Difference Equations
We consider the sufficient conditions for asymptotic stability and instability of certain higher order nonlinear difference equations with infinite delays in finite-dimensional spaces.

Communication between cells is realized by exchange of biochemical substances. Due to internal organization of living systems and variability of external parameters, the exchange is heavily influenced by perturbations of various parameters at almost all ...

Structural insights into an engineered feruloyl esterase with improved MHET degrading properties
A feruloyl esterase was engineered to mimic key features of MHETase, enhancing the degradation of PET oligomers. Structural and computational analysis reveal how a point mutation stabilizes the active site and reshapes the binding cleft, expading substrate scope.
