Abstract In this paper, we improve on the results of robust stabilizability obtained by Kimura. We do this in a constructive way by using an H ∞ -approach, and exhibit an upper bound for the order of robust controllers.

Stabilizability and Detectability
2020One of the most important concepts of systems theory is that of stabilizability and its dual concept detectability. We characterise when a system with finitely many inputs is stabilizable. Additionally, we present tests for the stabilizability/detectability of spatially invariant, Riesz-spectral, and delay systems.

Output Feedback and Generic Stabilizability
SIAM Journal on Control and Optimization, 1984This paper is concerned with problems of generic stabilizability of time- invariant linear systems by static linear output feedback. Let \(L_{m,n,p}\) be the space of all real linear systems (A,B,C) having m inputs, n states and p outputs. The problem is: For which dimensions m,n,p can one stabilize all (A,B,C) \(\in L_{m,n,p}\) except perhaps those ...

Two Global Stabilizability Results for Homogeneous Systems From a Local Stabilizability Assumption
IEEE Transactions on Automatic Control, 2009In this technical note, two problems have been investigated. The first one concerns the global asymptotic feedback stabilization of homogeneous systems. For these systems, it is shown that local asymptotic stabilization implies the global dynamic feedback stabilization one.

Potentially global stabilizability
IEEE Transactions on Automatic Control, 1986Nonlinear systems of the form \(\dot x=f(x)+Bu\) are considered. f(x) is assumed to be analytic on the whole of \(R^ n\) with \(f(0)=0\), \(u\in R^ m\) and B is an \(n\times m\) matrix. If the linear part of this system is controllable, then there exists a matrix F such that, with \(u=Fx\), the origin of the system is locally asymptotically stable ...

Robust Static Output Feedback Controllers via Robust Stabilizability Functions
IEEE Transactions on Automatic Control, 2013This technical note addresses the design of robust static output feedback controllers that minimize a polynomial cost and robustly stabilize a system with polynomial dependence on an uncertain vector constrained in a semialgebraic set.
