An observer-based control of linear systems with uncertain parameters

open access: yesArchives of Control Sciences, 2016
In this paper, the observer-based control for a class of uncertain linear systems is considered. Exponential stabilizability for the system is studied and reduced-order observer is discussed. Numerical examples are given to illustrate obtained results.

Modeling and Stabilizability of Voltage-Actuated Piezoelectric Beams with Magnetic Effects [PDF]

open access: yesSIAM Journal of Control and Optimization, 2013
Models for piezoelectric beams and structures with piezoelectric patches generally ignore magnetic effects. This is because the magnetic energy has a relatively small effect on the overall dynamics.

Stabilizability in optimal control [PDF]

open access: yesNonlinear Differential Equations and Applications NoDEA, 2020
AbstractWe extend the classical concepts of sampling and Euler solutions for control systems associated to discontinuous feedbacks by considering also the corresponding costs. In particular, we introduce the notions of Sample and Euler stabilizability to a closed target set$$\mathbf{C}$$Cwith$$({p_{0}},W)$$(p0,W)-regulated cost, for some continuous ...

On convergence of infinite matrix products with alternating factors from two sets of matrices

open access: yes, 2018
We consider the problem of convergence to zero of matrix products $A_{n}B_{n}\cdots A_{1}B_{1}$ with factors from two sets of matrices, $A_{i}\in\mathscr{A}$ and $B_{i}\in\mathscr{B}$, due to a suitable choice of matrices $\{B_{i}\}$.

On feedback stabilization of linear switched systems via switching signal control [PDF]

open access: yes, 2016
Motivated by recent applications in control theory, we study the feedback stabilizability of switched systems, where one is allowed to chose the switching signal as a function of $x(t)$ in order to stabilize the system.

Impulsive Stabilizability of Autonomous Systems

open access: yesJournal of Mathematical Analysis and Applications, 1994
The authors introduce the concepts of impulsive stabilization and describe the notion of an impulsive invariant set. Necessary conditions and sufficient conditions for impulsive stabilization are given. These results are applied to the inverted pendulum problem and a three-species population growth model.

Control Contraction Metrics and Universal Stabilizability [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv.org, 2013
In this paper we introduce the concept of universal stabilizability: the condition that every solution of a nonlinear system can be globally stabilized. We give sufficient conditions in terms of the existence of a control contraction metric, which can be

Upacicalcet: A Novel Intravenous Calcimimetic Agent for Patients Undergoing Hemodialysis With Secondary Hyperparathyroidism

open access: yesTherapeutic Apheresis and Dialysis, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Secondary hyperparathyroidism (SHPT) is a common complication in patients receiving maintenance dialysis, driven by calcium and phosphate metabolism disturbances. Calcimimetics are central to the management of SHPT by enhancing calcium‐sensing receptor sensitivity and reducing parathyroid hormone secretion.
