The motion planning problem and exponential stabilization of a heavy chain. Part II [PDF]

open access: yesOpuscula Mathematica, 2008
This is the second part of paper [P. Grabowski, The motion planning problem and exponential stabilization of a heavy chain. Part I, to appear in International Journal of Control], where a model of a heavy chain system with a punctual load (tip mass) in ...

Valosin‐containing protein counteracts ATP‐driven dissolution of FUS condensates through its ATPase activity in vitro

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Biomolecular condensates formed by fused in sarcoma (FUS) are dissolved by high ATP concentrations yet persist in cells. Using a reconstituted system, we demonstrate that valosin‐containing protein (VCP), an AAA+ ATPase, counteracts ATP‐driven dissolution of FUS condensates through its D2 ATPase activity.

Discrete-Time Indefinite Stochastic LQ Control via SDP and LMI Methods

open access: yesJournal of Applied Mathematics, 2012
This paper studies a discrete-time stochastic LQ problem over an infinite time horizon with state-and control-dependent noises, whereas the weighting matrices in the cost function are allowed to be indefinite.

Controllability and stabilizability of distributed bilinear systems: Recent results and open problems [PDF]

open access: yes, 1980
This paper describes recent results for controlling and stabilizing control systems of the form ú(t) = Au(t) + p(t) B(u(t)) where A is the infinitesimal generator C∞ semigroup on a Banach space X, B' map from X into X, and p(t) is a real valued control.

Linking neurogenesis, oligodendrogenesis, and myelination defects to neurodevelopmental disruption in primary mitochondrial disorders

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Mitochondrial remodeling shapes neural and glial lineage progression by matching metabolic supply with demand. Elevated OXPHOS supports differentiation and myelin formation, while myelin compaction lowers mitochondrial dependence, revealing mitochondria as key drivers of developmental energy adaptation.

The neural crest‐associated gene ERRFI1 is involved in melanoma progression and resistance toward targeted therapy

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
ERRFI1, a neural crest (NC)‐associated gene, was upregulated in melanoma and negatively correlated with the expression of melanocytic differentiation markers and the susceptibility of melanoma cells toward BRAF inhibitors (BRAFi). Knocking down ERRFI1 significantly increased the sensitivity of melanoma cells to BRAFi.

Stabilizability and Bipartite Containment Control of Multi-Agent Systems Over Signed Directed Graphs

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2020
This paper investigates the stabilizability and bipartite containment control problem of general linear multi-agent systems over signed directed graphs, where the negative edges indicate the antagonistic interactions between agents.

Cis‐regulatory and long noncoding RNA alterations in breast cancer – current insights, biomarker utility, and the critical need for functional validation

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
The noncoding region of the genome plays a key role in regulating gene expression, and mutations within these regions are capable of altering it. Researchers have identified multiple functional noncoding mutations associated with increased cancer risk in the genome of breast cancer patients.

The method of normal local stabilization

open access: yesПроблемы анализа, 2019
A problem of nonlinear systems stabilization is studied. Admissible controls are piecewise constant. The notion of normal local stabilizability is proposed.
