Using a Stabilization Splint to Improve the Occlusal Plane

症例の概要:患者は 59歳男性.上下顎 9歯欠損による咀嚼困難・審美不良を主訴に当科を受診した.診察および分析より下顎位の偏位および咬合平面の不正と診断した.上顎に暫間義歯を装着し,下顎にはスプリントを用いて下顎位の検査を行い顎間関係の改善を図った.考察:早期に主訴を改善できたことにより長期にわたる治療へのモチベーションを維持できた.顎間関係の検査にセファロ分析や Condylar position indexを用いて評価したことにより下顎位の客観的な検査がなされた.結論:スプリントを利用した検査により適切な顎間関係ならびに咬合平面が回復され咀嚼困難・審美不良を改善,良好な結果が得られた.
