Stable and Topology-Preserving Extraction of Medial Axes

2006 3rd International Symposium on Voronoi Diagrams in Science and Engineering, 2006
The paper presents a simple method for extracting global medial axes in a stable manner. A new index, called the normalized boundary distance, is introduced in order to measure the degree of importance of a point on the conventional medial axis.

Topologies of stable strategic networks with localized payoffs

2013 IEEE International Conference on Automation Science and Engineering (CASE), 2013
There are numerous types of networks in the real-world which involve strategic actors: supply chain networks, logistics networks, company networks, and social networks. In this investigation, we explore the topologies of decentralized networks that will be formed by strategic actors who interact with one another.

Topologically stable linear operators

Bulletin de la Société mathématique de France
Summary: In this study, we establish the equivalence of topological, structural, and strong structural stability for invertible linear operators on finite-dimensional Banach spaces. Furthermore, we demonstrate that every strongly structurally stable bilateral weighted shift also exhibits topological stability.

Stable K-Theory and Topological Hochschild Homology

The Annals of Mathematics, 1994
Waldhausen's algebraic \(K\)-theory of spaces is the extension of classical algebraic \(K\)-theory of rings, viewed as \(\mathbb{Z}\)-algebras, to rings up to coherent homotopies, viewed as algebras over \(QS^0= \text{codim}_n \Omega^n S^n\). In a similar way, topological Hochschild homology THH is the translation of Hochschild homology over the ground

Stable elements in topological algebras

2014
