Stable Algebraic Topology and Stable Topological Algebra
Bulletin of the London Mathematical Society, 1998The article is essentially the text of a lecture held at the London Mathematical Society. The author gives an overview of the history of stable algebraic topology since the early 1960's.

TOPOLOGICAL DYNAMICS OF STABLE GROUPS
The Journal of Symbolic Logic, 2014AbstractAssumeGis a group definable in a modelMof a stable theoryT. We prove that the semigroupSG(M) of completeG-types overMis an inverse limit of some semigroups type-definable inMeq. We prove that the maximal subgroups ofSG(M) are inverse limits of some definable quotients of subgroups ofG.

Topologically stable linear operators
Bulletin de la Société mathématique de FranceSummary: In this study, we establish the equivalence of topological, structural, and strong structural stability for invertible linear operators on finite-dimensional Banach spaces. Furthermore, we demonstrate that every strongly structurally stable bilateral weighted shift also exhibits topological stability.

Stable K-Theory and Topological Hochschild Homology
The Annals of Mathematics, 1994Waldhausen's algebraic \(K\)-theory of spaces is the extension of classical algebraic \(K\)-theory of rings, viewed as \(\mathbb{Z}\)-algebras, to rings up to coherent homotopies, viewed as algebras over \(QS^0= \text{codim}_n \Omega^n S^n\). In a similar way, topological Hochschild homology THH is the translation of Hochschild homology over the ground

We now discuss applications of topology to the classification of defects, or violations of local equilibrium, in condensed media. These applications derive from the fact that, in many important cases, the state of thermodynamic equilibrium is degenerate at temperatures below a certain critical temperature.
