The authors demonstrate the achievement of InAs quantum dash lasers grown by molecular beam epitaxy (MBE) on InP (100) substrate. The lasers exhibit lasing wavelength at 1.55 mum by multiple stacked dash layers from two to five, with ground state lasing at room temperature.

Abstract Ni–W catalysts supported on commercial γ-alumina and silica displayed similar activity in dibenzothiophene hydrodesulfurization (DBT HDS), while the activity of the Ni–W/SiO2 catalyst in toluene hydrogenation (HYD) was 6 times higher compared with Ni–W/Al2O3.

MAX phases are layered carbides or nitrides with the general formula Mn+1AXn, which exhibit a unique combination of ceramic- and metal-like properties. The effect of stacking a number (determined by n) remains to be elucidated and a priori is not clear whether, for a given chemistry, n significantly changes the intrinsic deformation behavior of these ...

Numerical Investigation of Natural Convection Heat Transfer From a Stack of Horizontal Cylinders
Journal of heat transfer, 2018Natural convection heat transfer from horizontal solid cylinders has been studied numerically by varying the Rayleigh number in the range of (104≤Ra≤108) and (1010≤Ra≤1013) for both laminar and turbulent flows, respectively. The computations were carried

Fabrication and applications of multi-layer graphene stack on transparent polymer
, 2017In this report, we demonstrate the preparation method of a multi-layer stack with a pre-defined number of graphene layers, which was obtained using chemical vapor deposition graphene deposited on a copper substrate and subsequently transferred onto a ...
