String compactifications on Calabi-Yau stacks
In this paper we study string compactifications on Deligne-Mumford stacks. The basic idea is that all such stacks have presentations to which one can associate gauged sigma models, where the group gauged need be neither finite nor effectively-acting ...

Biofabrication aims at providing innovative technologies and tools for the fabrication of tissue‐like constructs for tissue engineering and regenerative medicine applications. By integrating multiple biofabrication technologies, such as 3D (bio) printing with fiber fabrication methods, it would be more realistic to reconstruct native tissue's ...

An introduction to moduli stacks, with a view towards Higgs bundles on algebraic curves
This article is based in part on lecture notes prepared for the summer school "The Geometry, Topology and Physics of Moduli Spaces of Higgs Bundles" at the Institute for Mathematical Sciences at the National University of Singapore in July of 2014.

Bio‐based and (semi‐)synthetic zwitterion‐modified novel materials and fully synthetic next‐generation alternatives show the importance of material design for different biomedical applications. The zwitterionic character affects the physiochemical behavior of the material and deepens the understanding of chemical interaction mechanisms within the ...

Moduli of sheaves: a modern primer
We give a modern introduction to the moduli of sheaves. After reviewing the classical theory, we give a catalogue of results from the last decade. We then consider a more "symmetric" formulation of the theory by working with gerbes from the start.Comment:

We present a tissue‐stimulator platform for seamless electrode integration with pancreatic tissue, applying uniform electrical stimulation through optimized design with biohybrid 3D printing. Advantageous effects of electrical stimulation on β‐cell function were observed, including enhanced calcium signaling, islet morphology, and maturation.

Pluri-Canonical Models of Supersymmetric Curves
This paper is about pluri-canonical models of supersymmetric (susy) curves. Susy curves are generalisations of Riemann surfaces in the realm of super geometry. Their moduli space is a key object in supersymmetric string theory.
