Randomised, controlled pilot to compare collagen and foam in stagnating pressure ulcers
Journal of Wound Care, 2012Objective: To compare the clinical efficacy of a collagen dressing covered with a foam dressing with the same foam used as a primary dressing in stagnating granulating pressure ulcer patients. Method: Patients were randomised to receive either a foam dressing (Suprasorb P; Lohmann & Rauscher) as a primary dressing (group A), or a combination of a ...

The stagnation pressure p(s) of imploding cylindrical ( n = 2) and spherical ( n = 3) shells is found to scale as p(s)/p(0)~M(2(n+1)/(gamma+1))(0), where M0 is the Mach number of the imploding shell and p(0) its maximum pressure.

Stagnation temperature and pressure distortion effects upon the response of an aerofoil
International Journal of Heat and Fluid Flow, 1980Abstract A series of experiments is described in which an uncambered aerofoil, set at a constant incidence was traversed incrementally through a range of combined stagnation temperature/stagnation pressure distortions. Measurement of the static pressure distribution around the aerofoil yielded lift coefficient variations.

Development and application of stagnation pressure probe for dusty gas measurements
Review of Scientific Instruments, 1995The design, development and application of a fast response probe for measuring gas phase pressures under dusty flow conditions are described. Measured results for this probe, historically designated as the ‘‘Snob’’ probe, demonstrate satisfactory resolution of past limitations on output performance.

Inlet Stagnation Pressure Loss Estimate for a Simplified Thrust Model
47th AIAA Aerospace Sciences Meeting including The New Horizons Forum and Aerospace Exposition, 2009In a previous work, the author presented a simplified thrust model to be used in predicting the performance of high-speed aircraft. That model contained an ad hoc estimate of the stagnation pressure loss in the inlet/diffuser of the engine. The current analysis attempts to capture some of the actual physics of the flow, modeling the incoming flow as a ...

High-pressure combustion characteristics of liquid fuel in the stagnation-point flow
Symposium (International) on Combustion, 1992Combustion and vaporization of liquid fuels, under high pressure were investigated in the stagnation-point flow field. The diffusion flame was established slightly above the liquid heptane pool parallel to the surface, and the combustion mass flux was measured at various pressures up to 3.5 MPa.

Abstract Electron impact mass spectra of carbon dioxide clusters, generated by supersonic beam expansion, were investigated at various electron energies between 30 and 100 eV and stagnation pressures between 0.1 and 3.0 bar. The distribution of cluster ions (CO2)N+ (N ≦ 8) was observed to depend on electron energy most strongly at high stagnation ...

Shock Oscillations in a Supersonic Diffuser Flow with Varying Stagnation Pressure
2019The flow in supersonic wind tunnel diffusers is usually transonic in nature, and the formation of a normal shock just downstream of the diffuser throat region is required for power economy. The behavior of this starting normal shock decides the start or unstarts of a supersonic wind tunnel.
