Origin of cool cores, cold fronts and spiral structures in cool core clusters of galaxies [PDF]
We consider a situation in which a brightest cluster galaxy (BCG) moves in ambient hot gas in the central region of a cool core cluster of galaxies, following the study by Inoue (2014, PASJ, 66, 60). In the rest frame of the BCG, the hot gas is supposed to flow toward the BCG in parallel from a sufficiently large distance.

MHD Stagnation Flow of a Newtonian Fluid towards a Uniformly Heated and Moving Vertical Plate
Stagnation flow of an electrically conducting incompressible viscous fluid towards a moving vertical plate in the presence of a constant magnetic field is investigated. By using the appropriate transformations for the velocity components and temperature,

Hartmann–Sprenger effect and its application on aircraft [PDF]
The question of the effect of viscosity on the occurrence of a stagnation temperature in a dead-end cavity above the deceleration temperature of the incident gas flow the so-called Hartmann–Sprenger effect is considered.

Disruptive Atomic Jumps Induce Grain Boundary Stagnation [PDF]
Grain growth in polycrystalline materials can be impeded by grain boundary (GB) stagnation. Using atomistic simulations, we observed that during GB migration, the disruptive jumps of a few GB atoms can disturb the original ordered collective movement of GB atoms, leading to the stagnation of the entire GB. These disruptive atomic jumps can be activated

Stratification in steelmaking ladles [PDF]
The problem of temperature stratification in a steelmaking ladle is considered. There are three distinct zones in the flow, the wall boundary layer, the bottom stagnation zone and the central plug flow.
