Linear and Programmable Long‐Term Plasticity in PECVD Amorphous SiC Memristors

open access: yesAdvanced Electronic Materials, EarlyView.
Stoichiometry‐engineered PECVD amorphous SiC memristors exhibit highly linear and programmable long‐term synaptic plasticity with a nonlinearity as low as 0.08. By controlling the local bonding environment, stable multilevel conductance updates are achieved, enabling robust neural‐network classification on MNIST and CIFAR‐10 and highlighting amorphous ...

X‐Ray TID Suppresses Inhibitory Plasticity of SnO‐Based Memristors and Its Impact on Neuromorphic Computation

open access: yesAdvanced Electronic Materials, EarlyView.
X‐ray irradiation suppresses inhibitory plasticity in SnO‐based volatile memristors, reducing nonlinearity and variability while improving neuromorphic learning accuracy. Despite a reduced dynamic range, irradiated devices achieve more stable and linear synaptic updates, leading to enhanced CNN performance.

FastCat: Autonomous Discovery of Multielement Layered Double Hydroxide Alloy Catalysts for Alkaline Oxygen Evolution Reaction

open access: yesAdvanced Intelligent Discovery, EarlyView.
A machine learning‐guided self‐driving laboratory screened over 500 nickel‐based layered double‐hydroxide catalysts for alkaline oxygen evolution. Out of the eight metals, the robot uncovered a quaternary Ni–Fe–Cr–Co catalysts requiring only 231 mV overpotential to reach 20 mA cm−2.

Single‐Step Analog In‐Memory Matrix Computation in Three‐Dimensional Circuits

open access: yesAdvanced Intelligent Systems, EarlyView.
A wooden model illustrates a 3D memristive array designed for single‐step kernel convolutions. It shows how two‐dimensional input data are mapped into the 3D array and convolved in parallel with stored kernels. Color‐coded connection points represent programmed memory‐element values, with each color corresponding to a specific kernel weight.

Encoding and Encryption via Dual‐Wavelength 3D Digital Light Processing

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie International Edition, EarlyView.
Multi‐wavelength 3D DLP printing enables information encoding that can be encrypted on demand by applying orthogonal stimuli within a single material to trigger complementary responses. The 405 nm LED of the printer fabricates complex 3D geometries, while the 365 nm LED activates spiropyrans photochromism to program information into the structure ...

How to Protect Staircases in Case of Fire in Mid-Rise Buildings. Real Scale Fire Tests

open access: yesSafety & Fire Technology, 2019
Aim: The aim of the analysis was to investigate how smoke would spread in the building in the case of fire, and how to protect staircases without a pressure differential system (PDS). It was assumed that a ventilation system should: prevent the staircase

Atypical Attentional Effort During Visual Search in Autistic Adults: Evidence From Task‐Evoked Pupillary Responses

open access: yesAutism Research, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT According to prevalent views, autistic individuals have a stronger tendency to allocate attention to details, as supported by reports of enhanced visual search performance. However, both the dynamics and the types of information involved in attentional guidance in autism are not fully understood.

Visual Responsivity in Autism: Measuring Visual Responses in Autistic and Non‐Autistic Adults Using Psychophysics, fMRI, and EEG

open access: yesAutism Research, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Autistic individuals frequently report heightened sensitivity to visual stimuli, often described as discomfort in environments with bright or flickering lights. These experiences are hypothesized to reflect underlying differences in sensory gain or neural hyperexcitability; however, findings across studies have yielded mixed results, likely ...

Power balance control strategy for staircase modulation based on improved particle swarm optimization algorithm

open access: yesGong-kuang zidonghua, 2015
In view of problem of unbalanced output power of each H-bridge for staircase modulation of cascaded multilevel inverter, a power balance control strategy for staircase modulation of adjusting pulse switching angle was proposed, which realized power ...
