Coalitional Game Theory in Power Systems: Applications, Challenges, and Future Directions [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2023
Game theory-based approaches have recently gained traction in a wide range of applications, importantly in power and energy systems. With the onset of cooperation as a new perspective for solving power system problems, as well as the nature of power system problems, it is now necessary to seek appropriate game theory-based tools that permit the ...

Battery sizing for a stand alone passive wind system using statistical techniques [PDF]

open access: yes, 2011
In this paper, an original optimization method to jointly determine a reduced study term and an optimum battery sizing is investigated. This storage device is used to connect a passive wind turbine system with a stand alone network. A Weibull probability

Cellular liquid biopsy provides unique chances for disease monitoring, preclinical model generation and therapy adjustment in rare salivary gland cancer patients

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
We quantified and cultured circulating tumor cells (CTCs) of 62 patients with various cancer types and generated CTC‐derived tumoroid models from two salivary gland cancer patients. Cellular liquid biopsy‐derived information enabled molecular genetic assessment of systemic disease heterogeneity and functional testing for therapy selection in both ...

Efficacy Analysis of Power Swing Blocking and Out-of-Step Tripping Functions in Grid-Following VSC Systems [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2023
Power flow oscillations can occur in power systems after major disturbances such as system faults, which may result in significant power swings and even lead to system collapse. This paper provides a detailed analysis of the efficacy of the legacy power swing blocking and out-of-step tripping functions in grid-following voltage-source converter (GFL ...

Integrative analysis of circulating tumor cells (CTCs) and exosomes from small‐cell lung cancer (SCLC) patients: a comprehensive approach

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This study simultaneously investigated circulating tumor cells (CTCs) and exosomes from small‐cell lung cancer (SCLC) patients. The elevated expression of JUNB and CXCR4 in CTCs was a poor prognostic factor for SCLC patients, whereas exosomal overexpression of these biomarkers revealed a high discrimination ability of patients from healthy individuals,

Application Checkpoint and Power Study on Large Scale Systems [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2021
Power efficiency is critical in high performance computing (HPC) systems. To achieve high power efficiency on application level, it is vital importance to efficiently distribute power used by application checkpoints. In this study, we analyze the relation of application checkpoints and their power consumption. The observations could guide the design of

The PTTG1/VASP axis promotes oral squamous cell carcinoma metastasis by modulating focal adhesion and actin filaments

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
VASP was found to be overexpressed in metastatic oral squamous cell carcinoma (OSCC) tissues. Notably, PTTG1‐ and VASP‐deficient OSCC cells demonstrated suppressed metastatic properties by disrupting the interaction between the cytoskeleton and focal adhesion (FAs) in the filopodia region.
