Stand-alone transformerless sinusoidal inverter for PV systems
[Proceedings] APEC '91: Sixth Annual Applied Power Electronics Conference and Exhibition, 2002The authors investigate the design and performance of a nonisolated inverter. The inverter is designed to be powered from a bipolar photovoltaic array series-parallel combination. The array is configured so that its output is compatible with the input of the inverter. The load circuit return is common with the input power return.

Hybrid PV-diesel stand-alone system sizing for remote microgrids
2012 IEEE International Energy Conference and Exhibition (ENERGYCON), 2012This article focuses on the sizing of hybrid PV-Diesel stand alone systems. The sizing is performed taking into account the expected life of batteries and Diesel generators. A suitable model is proposed to determine an optimum configuration which minimizes long-term costs including external costs. The model is validated on a real life case-study.
