Pancreatic sensory neurons innervating healthy and PDAC tissue were retrogradely labeled and profiled by single‐cell RNA sequencing. Tumor‐associated innervation showed a dominant neurofilament‐positive subtype, altered mitochondrial gene signatures, and reduced non‐peptidergic neurons.

Silvicultural regimes and early biomass thinning in young, dense pine stands [PDF]
The aim of this work was to determine how early management activities in young, dense pine forests affect tree and stand characteristics and profitability and to assess the future potential for tree biomass harvesting and use.

KDM7A and KDM1A inhibition suppresses tumour promoting pathways in prostate cancer
Treatment resistance is a major challenge for patients with advanced prostate cancer. This study examined an alternative approach to target the major prostate cancer‐promoting pathway by targeting epigenetic factors, whose levels are higher in tumours.

1. Forest productivity may be determined not only by biodiversity but also by environmental factors and stand structure attributes. However, the relative importance of these factors in determining productivity is still controversial for subtropical ...

EXOSC10, an essential nuclear RNA exosome‐associated 3′‐5′ exoribonuclease, is inhibited by the anticancer drug 5‐fluorouracil (5‐FU), and EXOSC10 depletion increases 5‐FU sensitivity. The colon‐cancer variant EXOSC10S402T, located in a proteolysis motif, is stable and nuclear but nonfunctional in vivo.

Evenly managed forest plantations are potentially vulnerable to fires because of their high fuel load build-up in each rotation. We use panel data analysis that considers the possible correlation between the observed covariates of interest with spatial ...

Age-related decline in stand water use: sap flow and transpiration in a pine forest chronosequence
International audienceWe investigated changes in the pattern of stand water use in a chronosequence of four even-aged maritime pine stands, differing in age (10-, 32-, 54- and 91-year old) and growing under similar environmental conditions. Extensive sap

The criterion for space-age organization of stand
A statistical criterion for randomness of spatial tree patterns in stands with account of trees age is proposed. Interpretation of the criterion statistic and numerical experiments on collected spatial data are presented.
