Parallel addition in non-standard numeration systems
We consider numeration systems where digits are integers and the base is an algebraic number $β$ such that $|β|>1$ and $β$ satisfies a polynomial where one coefficient is dominant in a certain sense. For this class of bases $β$, we can find an alphabet of signed-digits on which addition is realizable by a parallel algorithm in constant time.

ABSTRACT Background Cerebellar ataxia after pediatric brain tumor treatment can cause persistent gait, balance, and speech impairment, yet no established rehabilitation strategy exists. Somato‐cognitive coordination therapy (SCCT) is a virtual reality–guided intervention designed to promote sensorimotor integration through visually constrained reaching

ABSTRACT Pediatric radiation therapy presents unique challenges compared to adult treatments, including those of immobilization, potential need for sedation, and the critical importance of accurate, reproducible positioning. Additionally, heightened attention to imaging doses is necessary to minimize long‐term toxicity in survivors.

ABSTRACT Background Platinum‐based chemotherapy is known to cause severe and debilitating hearing loss, but unlike cisplatin, the true incidence of carboplatin‐induced hearing loss remains unclear. We evaluated functional hearing outcomes in children receiving carboplatin to determine the incidence and severity of ototoxicity. Procedure We identified a

Standard, secant and equidistant parallels
The paper describes a study of equidistant, standard and secant parallels in normal aspect cylindrical and conical projections. First, the explanation of cylindrical and conical projections as projections on cylindrical or conical surfaces is not recommended because it leads to misunderstanding projection properties.

The Horava–Lifshitz modifications of the Casimir effect at finite temperature revisited
We investigate the Casimir force for parallel plates at finite temperature in the Horava–Lifshitz (HL) theory. We find that the HL exponent cannot be chosen as an integer, or the Casimir energy will be a constant, and further, the Casimir force between ...

ABSTRACT Neuroblastoma's complex, heterogeneous biology poses significant diagnostic and therapeutic challenges, often requiring caregivers to absorb complex information and participate in time‐sensitive decisions. However, caregivers often feel unprepared to evaluate options.

Impact of Metastatic Patterns on Survival and Response to Therapy in Neuroblastoma
ABSTRACT Background While the presence of metastases in neuroblastoma (NB) is a well‐established prognostic factor, the clinical significance of dissemination patterns and tumour burden and their impact on response and survival remains poorly understood.
