An orbit determination method of spacecraft based on distribution regression
A new method of orbit determination (OD) is proposed: distribution regression. The paper focuses on the process of using sparse observation data to determine the orbit of the spacecraft without any prior information. The standard regression process is to

Modeling hepatic fibrosis in TP53 knockout iPSC‐derived human liver organoids
This study developed iPSC‐derived human liver organoids with TP53 gene knockout to model human liver fibrosis. These organoids showed elevated myofibroblast activation, early disease markers, and advanced fibrotic hallmarks. The use of profibrotic differentiation medium further amplified the fibrotic signature seen in the organoids.

LDAcoop: Integrating non‐linear population dynamics into the analysis of clonogenic growth in vitro
Limiting dilution assays (LDAs) quantify clonogenic growth by seeding serial dilutions of cells and scoring wells for colony formation. The fraction of negative wells is plotted against cells seeded and analyzed using the non‐linear modeling of LDAcoop.

Correlation of the differential expression of PIK3R1 and its spliced variant, p55α, in pan‐cancer
PIK3R1 undergoes alternative splicing to generate the isoforms, p85α and p55α. By combining large patient datasets with laboratory experiments, we show that PIK3R1 spliced variants shape cancer behavior. While tumors lose the protective p85α isoform, p55α is overexpressed, changes linked to poorer survival and more pronounced in African American ...

Space-Time Codes for Wireless Optical Communications
A space-time channel coding technique is presented for overcoming turbulence-induced fading in an atmospheric optical heterodyne communication system that uses multiple transmit and receive apertures. In particular, a design criterion for minimizing the

Statistical predictions for the dynamics of a low-speed system: Newtonian versus special-relativistic mechanics. [PDF]
The newtonian and special-relativistic statistical predictions for the mean, standard deviation and probability density function of the position and momentum are compared for the periodically-delta-kicked particle at low speed.

Multiscale functional inequalities in probability: Constructive approach
Consider an ergodic stationary random field $A$ on the ambient space $\mathbb R^d$. In order to establish concentration properties for nonlinear functions $Z(A)$, it is standard to appeal to functional inequalities like Poincare or logarithmic Sobolev ...
