Comparison of Panel Cointegration Tests [PDF]

open access: yes
The main aim of this paper is to compare the size and size-adjusted power properties of four residual-based and one maximum-likelihood-based panel cointegration tests with the help of Monte Carlo simulations.

Cell wall target fragment discovery using a low‐cost, minimal fragment library

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
LoCoFrag100 is a fragment library made up of 100 different compounds. Similarity between the fragments is minimized and 10 different fragments are mixed into a single cocktail, which is soaked to protein crystals. These crystals are analysed by X‐ray crystallography, revealing the binding modes of the bound fragment ligands.

Design of standardized universal simulation test platform for onboard solid state memory controllers

open access: yesDianzi Jishu Yingyong, 2019
The increasing functionality and complexity of electronic systems places higher demands on the efficiency of system verification tests. The traditional satellite test platform is customized according to the specific model task. Its design and development

"Maximum Covariance Di erence Test for Equality of Two Covariance Matrices" [PDF]

open access: yes
We propose a test of equality of two covariance matrices based on the maximum standardized di erence of scalar covariances of two sample covariance matrices. We derive the tail probability of the asymptotic null distribution of the test statistic by the ...

The (Glg)ABCs of cyanobacteria: modelling of glycogen synthesis and functional divergence of glycogen synthases in Synechocystis sp. PCC 6803

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
We reconstituted Synechocystis glycogen synthesis in vitro from purified enzymes and showed that two GlgA isoenzymes produce glycogen with different architectures: GlgA1 yields denser, highly branched glycogen, whereas GlgA2 synthesizes longer, less‐branched chains.

Listract Test: A Standardized Assessment Method for Isolated Lisfranc Instability in Cadaver Models [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Foot and Ankle Surgery (Asia Pacific)
Aim and background: Ligamentous Lisfranc injuries are challenging to detect, with 20–40% of them remaining undiagnosed or misdiagnosed at initial presentation.

Organ‐specific redox imbalances in spinal muscular atrophy mice are partially rescued by SMN antisense oligonucleotides

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
We identified a systemic, progressive loss of protein S‐glutathionylation—detected by nonreducing western blotting—alongside dysregulation of glutathione‐cycle enzymes in both neuronal and peripheral tissues of Taiwanese SMA mice. These alterations were partially rescued by SMN antisense oligonucleotide therapy, revealing persistent redox imbalance as ...
