Prognostic role of standard uptake value according to pathologic features of lung adenocarcinoma
Tumori Journal, 2021Objective: To evaluate the influence of lung adenocarcinoma second predominant pattern on the maximal standard uptake value (SUVmax) and its prognostic effect in different histologic groups. Methods: We retrospectively collected surgically resected pathologic stage I and II lung adenocarcinoma from nine European institutions.

Standard uptake values (SUVs) are widely used for quantifying the uptake of 18F-fluorodeoxyglucose (18F-FDG) in tumours. The objective of this study was to evaluate the accuracy of SUVs for malignancy in lung nodules/masses and to analyse the effects of tumour size, blood glucose levels and different body weight corrections on SUV.One hundred and ...

The numerator and denominator of the left-hand side of the Gjedde-Patlak-Rutland (GPR) equation for measurement of blood fluorine-18 fluorodeoxyglucose (F-FDG) clearance into tissue (Ki) are the standardized uptake values (SUVs) of tissue and blood, respectively.

Pronostic value of maximum standardized uptake value in recurrent epithelial ovarian cancer.
Journal of Clinical Oncology, 2014e16518 Background: Metabolic tumor parameters for preoperative [18F]FDG PET/TC imaging may be a useful predictor of recurrence in patients with epithelial ovarian cancer (EOC).

The Value of the Standardized Uptake Value (SUV) and Metabolic Tumor Volume (MTV) in Lung Cancer
Seminars in Nuclear Medicine, 2022The diagnosis, staging and therapeutic monitoring of lung cancer were amongst the first applications for which the utility of FDG PET was documented and FDG PET/CT is now a routine diagnostic tool for clinical decision-making. As well as having high sensitivity for detection of disease sites, which provides critical information about stage, the ...

Is there a necessity of Standard Uptake Value correction in liver reference level?
2009Introducing: Non-specific uptake in heart, bowel or gut hardly depends on age, fastening period, blood glucose levels. Among all those non-specific uptake levels, liver SUV is often used as a reference point. In our study standard uptake value in liver parenchyma is compared with SUV of lesions suspected for malignant disease.
