A [68Ga]Ga-DOTANOC PET/CT Radiomic Model for Non-Invasive Prediction of Tumour Grade in Pancreatic Neuroendocrine Tumours

open access: yesDiagnostics, 2021
Predicting grade 1 (G1) and 2 (G2) primary pancreatic neuroendocrine tumour (panNET) is crucial to foresee panNET clinical behaviour. Fifty-one patients with G1-G2 primary panNET demonstrated by pre-surgical [68Ga]Ga-DOTANOC PET/CT and diagnostic ...

Micro-meso-macro practice tensions in using patient-reported outcome and experience measures in hospital palliative care [PDF]

open access: yes, 2018
This article applies a micro-meso-macro analytical framework to understand clinicians’ experiences and perspectives of using patient-reported outcome and experience measures (PROMs and PREMs) in routine hospital-based palliative care.

Optimization of PET protocol and interrater reliability of 18F-PSMA-11 imaging of prostate cancer [PDF]

open access: yes, 2020
Background Several scan parameters for PET imaging with F-18-PSMA-11 such as dosage, acquisition time and scan duration were evaluated to determine the most appropriate scan protocol, as well as the effect of furosemide administration on lesion ...

The Applications of Corrected Standardized Uptake Values in the Diagnosis of Peripheral Lung Lesions

open access: yesMedicine, 2015
Fluorine 18-fluorodeoxyglucose positron emission tomography/computed tomography (F-FDG PET/CT) imaging has been widely used to diagnose many types of tumors. However, many factors can affect the accuracy of standardized uptake values (SUVs). In this study, we aimed to explore the applications of corrected SUVs in the diagnosis of peripheral solitary ...

Molecular imaging predicts trastuzumab‐deruxtecan (T‐DXd) response in head and neck cancer xenograft models

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Trastuzumab‐deruxtecan, a HER2‐targeting antibody‐drug conjugate, shows promising antitumor activity in head and neck squamous cell carcinoma with low HER2 expression. In vitro and in vivo studies demonstrated dose‐dependent cell death and tumor growth reduction in low HER2‐expressing cell lines, which correlated with drug accumulation measured using a

Genomics‐led approach to drug testing in models of undifferentiated pleomorphic sarcoma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
GA text Genomic data from undifferentiated pleomorphic sarcoma patients and preclinical models were used to inform a targeted drug screen. Selected compounds were tested in 2D and 3D cultures of UPS cell lines. A combination of trametinib and infigratinib was synergistic in the majority of UPS cell lines tested, which was further confirmed in an ex ...

Relations between the standardized uptake value of 18F-FDG-PET/CT and demographic, clinical, pathological, and radiological factors in lung cancer

open access: yesEgyptian Journal of Chest Disease and Tuberculosis
Background FDG-PET/CT is considered a noninvasive method for mediastinal staging and functional assessment of lung cancer. Standardized uptake value maximum (SUVmax) estimates the activity of the tumor and its aggressiveness.

Unraveling LINE‐1 retrotransposition in head and neck squamous cell carcinoma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
The novel RetroTest method allows the detection of L1 activation in clinical samples with low DNA input, providing global L1 activity and the identification of the L1 source element. We applied RetroTest to a real‐world cohort of HNSCC patients where we reported an early L1 activation, with more than 60% of T1 patients showing L1 activity.
