Isomorphism of Weighted Trees and Stanley's Conjecture for Caterpillars
This paper contributes to a programme initiated by the first author: `How much information about a graph is revealed in its Potts partition function?'. We show that the $W$-polynomial distinguishes non-isomorphic weighted trees of a \emph{good} family.

ABSTRACT River infrastructures such as weirs, dams, inlet and outlet regulators often impair connectivity, leading to degradation and loss of key habitats for riverine fishes. This also holds true for golden perch (Macquaria ambigua Richardson), a migratory species in Australia's Murray–Darling Basin.

Filter-regular sequences, almost complete intersections and Stanley's conjecture
Let $K$ be a field and $I$ a monomial ideal of the polynomial ring $S=K[x_1,..., x_n]$ generated by monomials $u_1,u_2,..., u_t$. We show that $S/I$ is pretty clean if either: 1) $u_1,u_2,..., u_t$ is a filter-regular sequence, 2) $u_1,u_2,..., u_t$ is a $d$-sequence; or 3) $I$ is almost complete intersection.

This study develops a novel application of UAV‐LiDAR and Red Green Blue (RGB) data and network analysis to enhance our understanding of boreal forest succession. The results indicate that tree height and spectral variables are the most influential predictors of plant functional type in random forest algorithms, and high overall accuracies were attained.

From ESG to Sustainable Development: A Path Designed for the Triple Helix Spheres
ABSTRACT This work examines the relationship between environmental, social, and governance (ESG) initiatives and sustainable development (SD), highlighting a scientific gap in their effective connection. It aims to propose a framework with recommendations for promoting SD through ESG, considering the governmental, business, and academic spheres from ...

ABSTRACT The current study presents a causal model of climate‐induced psychological resilience by assessing the impact of dispositional mindfulness, self‐efficacy beliefs, and perceived restorativeness of nature. It further examines the associations among climate change coping strategies, subjective well‐being components, eco‐emotions, and resilience ...

Abstract Research Summary Despite the importance of resource reallocation in shaping a variety of strategic outcomes, strategy scholars have paid only limited attention to the processes by which firms reallocate their resources across successive systemic innovations.

On a conjecture of Stanley on Jack symmetric functions
In this short paper the author solves affirmatively a conjecture by Stanley concerning Jack symmetric functions. This conjecture, being the first one among a collection of related conjectures, relates a particular Jack function to a sum of Schur functions; it is solved by an explicit calculation based on Young tableaux, and combinatorial identities ...
