Global change reshapes glomalin‐mediated soil carbon sequestration by influencing plant inputs
Read the free Plain Language Summary for this article on the Journal blog. Abstract Glomalin‐related soil protein (GRSP), a by‐product of arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi (AMF), plays a crucial role in stabilizing soil organic carbon (SOC). Global change factors (GCFs) such as elevated atmospheric carbon dioxide (CO2), climate warming and anthropogenic ...

Waldschmidt constants for Stanley-Reisner ideals of a class of graphs
In the present note we study Waldschmidt constants of Stanley-Reisner ideals of a hypergraph and a graph with vertices forming a bipyramid over a planar n-gon. The case of the hypergraph has been studied by Bocci and Franci. We reprove their main result.

M. E. Grant Duff, Philosophic Liberalism and the Global Liberal Cause
Abstract Historians disagree about how best to conceptualize nineteenth‐century British Liberalism in relation to its international contexts. This article argues that we can better understand the patterns involved by interrogating individuals who bridged the worlds of partisan politics and elaborated thought.

How to compute the Hilbert depth of a graded ideal [PDF]
We give two algorithms for computing the Hilbert depth of a \emph{graded ideal} in the polynomial ring. These algorithms work efficiently for (squarefree) lex ideals.

The Golod property for Stanley-Reisner rings in varying characteristic
We show that the Golod property of a Stanley-Reisner ring can depend on the characteristic of the base field. More precisely, for every finite set $T$ of prime numbers we construct simplicial complexes $\Delta$ and $\Gamma$, such that $\mathbb{K}[\Delta]$

Special Stanley Decompositions
Let $I$ be an intersection of three monomial prime ideals of a polynomial algebra $S$ over a field. We give a special Stanley decomposition of $I$ which provides a lower bound of the Stanley depth of $I$, greater than or equal to $\depth\ (I)$, that is, Stanley's Conjecture holds for $I$.

Gröbner bases and Stanley decompositions of determinantal rings
Using methods from algebraic combinatorics, we prove that the set of \((r+1)\times (r+1)\)-minors of a generic \(m\times n\)-matrix forms a reduced Gröbner basis (for certain term orders). This yields an efficient normal form algorithm and an explicit Stanley decomposition for the coordinate ring of matrices with rank \(\leq r\).

ABSTRACT Professional accounting bodies in Canada and the United States, and throughout the world, have funded programs to improve financial literacy for many years. This ongoing interest stems from the expected benefits of improved financial behavior for individuals, society, and financial markets.

Conserving threatened species often requires effective predator suppression strategies, particularly on islands where introduced predators pose significant threats. Density‐impact functions provide a framework to quantify the relationships between predator abundance and impact but are currently limited to a single species with invariant impact.

Spanish stock returns, growth, and inflation, 1900–2020
Abstract This paper studies equity returns in the Madrid Stock Exchange and their connections with the macroeconomy from the emergence of a stock market around 1900 to its ‘big bang’ at the turn of the twenty‐first century. Using high‐quality data from primary sources and the methodology of the modern IBEX35 (published since 1987), we constructed an ...
