Neural and Mechanical Adaptations During Static Stretching With Different Amplitudes

open access: yesEuropean Journal of Neuroscience, Volume 63, Issue 7, April 2026.
Prolonged static stretching elicits biphasic modulation of spinal excitability characterized by initial suppression followed by progressive facilitation that is amplitude‐dependent, with supramaximal stretching producing greater neural adaptations in both soleus and gastrocnemius muscles.

Target DOA estimation based on robust deterministic STAP

open access: yes, 2022
S.271-274A novel approach for target direction of arrival (DOA) estimation based on deterministic space time adaptive processing (STAP) is presented. Deterministic STAP [1] represents a valid alternative to stochastic STAP in fast varying interference ...

On language, (inter)disciplinarity, and collaboration with local scholars in Papua New Guinea environmental anthropology

open access: yesThe Australian Journal of Anthropology, Volume 37, Issue 1, Page 190-205, April 2026.
Abstract How can anthropologists ensure the accuracy of the statements they make in their publications, especially in an era of ever increasing budgetary and bureaucratic pressures that limit the duration of fieldwork? What should the role of language abilities be in this context and to what degree is it necessary to learn the language of the place ...

Constraints on Past CO2 and Climate Sensitivity From Global Temperature and Sea Level Reconstructions Across the Plio‐Pleistocene

open access: yesGeophysical Research Letters, Volume 53, Issue 5, 16 March 2026.
Abstract In contrast to previous approaches, new reconstructions of changes in global mean surface temperature and global mean sea level (GMSL) include large variability in GMSL throughout the Pleistocene. Here we assess these reconstructions from an energy balance perspective by using them to force a global carbon cycle model in different scenarios ...

Stap2Go Test: Validity and Sensitivity/Specificity for Attention and Executive Function Assessment

open access: yesApplied Cognitive Psychology, Volume 40, Issue 2, March/April 2026.
ABSTRACT Attention and executive function difficulties are common in many neurodevelopmental conditions and significantly impact psychological well‐being. However, access to cognitive assessment remains limited due to high costs and resource constraints.

Best Practice in Climate Change Adaptation

open access: yesWIREs Climate Change, Volume 17, Issue 2, March/April 2026.
The seven elements of best practice in climate change adaptation. ABSTRACT Climate change adaptation has become a core business for international organizations, firms, and all levels of government in almost every country. Practitioners seek to implement adaptation in the face of myriad barriers and uncertainties and so seek guidance as to what ...

Comparison between monostatic and bistatic antenna configurations for STAP

open access: yes, 2022
S.596-608The unique characteristics of bistatic radar operation on the performance of airborne/spaceborne moving target indicator (MTI) radars that use space-time adaptive processing (STAP) are discussed.

Early sensorimotor restriction in rats induces age‐dependent mitochondrial alterations in skeletal muscles and brain structures

open access: yesThe Journal of Physiology, Volume 604, Issue 6, Page 2512-2524, 15 March 2026.
Abstract figure legend This study aimed to determine whether early sensorimotor restriction (SMR) alters mitochondrial enzyme activities in rat muscles and brain structures. SMR was induced via immobilizing the hind limbs of pups for 16 h per day during the dark phase from birth to postnatal day (PND) 28.
