Snake Gut Microbiota as a Source of Anti‐Inflammatory Probiotics: Isolation and Functional Characterization of Two Novel Strains

This study assessed the probiotic potential of intestinal microbiomes from five snake species using metagenomics and in vitro isolation, identifying two promising strains (Lactobacillus johnsonii DA0116 and Limosilactobacillus reuteri DA0218) through comprehensive screening.

The occurrence of Staphylococcus saprophyticus, Chlamydia trachomatis, and Neisseria gonorrhoeae in urethral specimens of 252 men attending a venereal disease clinic was studied. Shotgun Metagenomics Reveals Skin Microbiome Composition and Function in Infant Atopic Disease

Deep shotgun metagenomics profiled > 1000 infant skin swabs in the VITALITY cohort. Distinct skin microbiome signatures separated AD alone from AD with allergic co‐occurrence. Early Staphylococcus enrichment preceded later AD with allergic co‐occurrence. FLG mutations and strain‐level analyses revealed host and microbial features linked to AD.
