Star-formation rates of interacting galaxies
Publications of the Astronomical Society of the Pacific, 1984The authors have obtained spectrophotometry for central regions of five interacting systems of galaxies chosen from the Arp Atlas of Peculiar Galaxies. The data are analyzed to derive star-formation rates for different epochs in the galaxies' histories.

What controls the star formation rate in galaxies?
Astrophysics and Space Science, 2002Summary of the third discussion of the conference. Topics covered include the mechanisms controlling the star formation rate in galaxies, the source of the driving energy for interstellar turbulence, and the reasons for different star formation rates in galaxies with similar masses.

Star Formation Rate in Active Galaxies
SSRN Electronic JournalThis study aims to investigate the relationship between the star formation rate (SFR) in active galaxies and the activity of their central supermassive black holes. Active galaxies, such as Seyfert galaxies and quasars, exhibit intense emissions across various wavelengths due to the presence of actively accreting black holes at their cores.
