Modelling Neutron-Star Ocean Dynamics
We revisit the calculation of mode oscillations in the ocean of a rotating neutron star, which may be excited during thermonuclear X-ray bursts. Our present theoretical understanding of ocean modes relies heavily on the traditional approximation commonly employed in geophysics. The approximation elegantly decouples the radial and angular sectors of the

Modelling star cluster formation: Mergers
Abstract Star cluster formation in giant molecular clouds involves the local collapse of the cloud into small gas-rich subclusters, which can then subsequently collide and merge to build up the final star cluster(s). In this paper, we simulate collisions between these subclusters, using coupled smooth particle hydrodynamics for the gas ...

Intermediate‐Mass Stars: Updated Models [PDF]
A new set of stellar models in the mass range 1.2 to 9 $M_{\odot}$ is presented. The adopted chemical compositions cover the typical galactic values, namely $0.0001 \le Z \le 0.02$ and $0.23 \le Y \le 0.28$. A comparison among the most recent compilations of similar stellar models is also discussed.

It is the intention with the present review to summarize the role of molecules in cool stars. Which molecules do we find there, which are the most important ones, what do we know about them, what more would we like to know? – and what are the current main problems and progresses we meet when including molecules in models of cool stars ?
