Star product on the Lie coalgebra and its application for calculation of quantum integrals of motion
The article gives an algorithm for constructing quantum integrals of motion on the basis of well-known classic integrals.To construct quantum integrals, we apply star product of the operators' symbols, which is used in the quantization theory.A non ...

Strangeness production in neutron stars [PDF]
Production of strange quarks in neutron stars is investigated in this work. Three cases, one in which the energy and neutrinos produced in the strangeness production reactions are retained in the reaction region, second in which the neutrinos are allowed to escape the reaction region but the energy is retained and the third in which both the energy and

Optical characterization of deuterated silicon-rich nitride waveguides
Chemical vapor deposition-based growth techniques allow flexible design of complementary metal-oxide semiconductor (CMOS) compatible materials. Here, we report the deuterated silicon-rich nitride films grown using plasma-enhanced chemical vapor ...

Quarkonia production in the STAR experiment [PDF]
In this proceedings the recent STAR results of $J/ $ and $ $ production in $p+p$, $d$+Au and Au+Au collisions at $\sqrt{s_{NN}}$ = 200 GeV at mid-rapidity are reported. $J/ $ $p_{T}$ spectra in $p+p$ and Au+Au collisions for both low and high $p_{T}$ are shown. $J/ $ nuclear modification factor ($R_{AA}$) in $d$+Au and Au+Au collisions and $ $ $R_{

k-Minkowski differential calculi and star product [PDF]
We present the star-product algebra of the kappa-deformation of Minkowski space and the formulation of Poincare covariant differential calculus. We use these tools to construct a twisted K-cycle over the algebra and a twisted cyclic cocycle.

The unpredictably eruptive dynamics of spruce budworm populations in eastern Canada
We examine historical population data for spruce budworm from several locations through the period 1930–1997, and use density‐dependent recruitment curves to test whether the pattern of population growth over time is more consistent with Royama's (1984; Ecological Monographs 54:429–462) linear R(t) model of harmonic oscillation at Green River New ...

The study of formation and interaction of heavy quarkonia in relativistic heavy ion collisions provides important insight into the properties of the produced medium. Lattice QCD studies show sequential suppression of quarkonia states with increasing temperature; which affirms that a full spectroscopy, including bottomonium, can provide us a thermometer
