Theoretical Stark Broadening Parameters for UV–Blue Spectral Lines of Neutral Vanadium in the Solar and Metal-Poor Star HD 84937 Spectra

open access: yesAtoms, 2020
Using Griem’s semi-empirical approach, we have calculated the Stark broadening parameters (line widths and shifts) of 35 UV–Blue spectral lines of neutral vanadium (V I).

Theory of dark resonances for alkali vapors in a buffer-gas cell [PDF]

open access: yes, 2003
We develop an analytical theory of dark resonances that accounts for the full atomic-level structure, as well as all field-induced effects such as coherence preparation, optical pumping, ac Stark shifts, and power broadening.

DNA‐Templated 2D Heterostructures as Phototriggered Dynamic Nanohybrids: From Releasing Molecular Loads to Controlling Enzyme Biocatalytic Function

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
DNA strands are employed both as dynamic linkers and nanoscale templates for the integration of Ag2S nanoparticles on MoS2, which in turn imparted photothermal responsiveness; this feature permits the selective cargo (fluorophore, quantum dots or an enzyme) release from the MoS2 surface in response to local heat induced by light irradiation.

Unified Model for Stark Broadening [PDF]

open access: yesZeitschrift für Naturforschung A, 1969
Abstract Stark broadening of spectral lines is considered as a semi-classical many-body problem. Starting from a Liouville equation for a distribution function depending on the atomic Hilbert space vector and the coordinates and velocities of the classical plasma particles, BBGKY hierarchy techniques are used to derive a complete line ...

Selective Charge Injection via Topological van der Waals Contacts for Barrier‐Free p‐Type TMD Transistors

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Topological van der Waals contacts represent a new class of electrodes for 2D semiconductors, enabling precise control of the Schottky barrier height (SBH) and contact resistance (RC) through interlayer distance and orbital hybridization engineering. In Se‐based transition metal dichalcogenides, these contacts achieve an ultralow SBH of 7 meV, RC of 0.

Photon Echoes Produced by Switching Electric Fields

open access: yes, 2005
We demonstrate photon echoes in Eu$^{3+}$:Y$_{2}$SiO$_{5}$ by controlling the inhomogeneous broadening of the Eu$^{3+}$ $^{7}$F$_{0}\leftrightarrow^{5}$D$_{0}$ optical transition.

Tunnelling rates for the nonlinear Wannier-Stark problem [PDF]

open access: yes, 2005
We present a method to numerically compute accurate tunnelling rates for a Bose-Einstein condensate which is described by the nonlinear Gross-Pitaevskii equation.

An Ultrafast Self‐Gelling Versatile Hydrogel for Rapid Infected Burn Wound Repair in Military Medicine

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A self‐gelling PG@PAC (POD/Gel‐CDH@PA/CHX) powder is developed for infected burn care in austere settings. Upon contact with wound exudate, it instantly forms an adhesive hydrogel, providing simultaneous hemostasis, broad‐spectrum antibacterial activity, reactive oxygen species scavenging, and immunomodulation. In a murine model of S.

Regularities and Systematic Trends on Zr IV Stark Widths

open access: yesAtoms, 2017
Regularities and systematic trends among the Stark widths of 18 Zr IV spectral lines obtained by modified semiempirical approach have been discussed. Also we compared those calculated Stark broadening parameters with estimates according to Cowley, Purić ...
