OH Maser Polarimetric Observations of Planetary Nebulae
We present full-polarization observations of the four ground-state transitions of OH, carried out with the Australia Telescope Compact Array toward two very young planetary nebulae (PNe), IRAS 16333−4807 and IRAS 17393−2727. We detect Zeeman splitting in

Candidate dust structures for starlight polarization
Rotation damping and alignment are discussed as prerequisites for polarization power. An expression is derived from first principles, for the damping time of the rotation of a particle in a magnetic field, under the Faraday braking torque, provided its electrical properties are known.

Synchrotron circular polarization of a nonthermal power-law electron distribution in gamma-ray bursts (GRBs) has been studied. However, some numerical simulations have shown that the resulting distribution of electrons is a combination of a thermal ...

Despite the pervasive nature of interstellar dust and its impact on nearly all observations, most dust corrections employ line-of-sight averages over large angular scales.

The Guitar's Magnetic Field Revealed by Starlight Polarization
The Guitar nebula surrounding PSR B2224+65 boasts a pulsar X-ray filament likely aligned with the local magnetic field. We present new RoboPol stellar polarization data distributed along the line-of-sight to the pulsar. The polarizing effect of intervening magnetized dust allows us to extract a model for the dust-weighted magnetic field.
