Spectroscopic Observations of Emission-line Stars

AbstractIn this paper we present the results of spectroscopic observations for 34 emission-line stars (ELSs) in the Orion belt region, which were detected in an extensive survery. Spectral classification and the intensities of Hα and Hβ emission have revealed that the observed ELSs are probably T-Tauri type stars.

Emission-Line Stars in the Canis Major Star-Formation Region

Abstract Using the Schmidt telescope of the Kiso Observatory, we have surveyed Hα-emission stars in the Canis Major star-formation region and its adjacent reference area. In the area of about 58 square degrees a total of 179 Hα-emission stars have been found in the magnitude range between K=6 and 15 with a majority in the V = 11–14 range.
