Non-linear oscillations of massive stars [PDF]
The study of non-linear oscillations of massive stars undertaken in this thesis has been orientated, in the first instance, towards determining the form of the radial velocity curve of a pulsating star, and later, to aspects pertaining to the ...

Spectroscopy of hot ? Doradus and A–F hybrid Kepler candidates close to the hot border of the d Scuti instability strip [PDF]
If ? Dor-type pulsations are driven by the convective blocking mechanism, a convective envelope at a sufficient depth is essential. There are several hot ?

Omnipolar Magnetic Field Detection by Superlattice‐Based Hall Sensor
Magnetic‐field‐induced electronic switching is demonstrated in unit‐cell‐engineered La0.7Sr0.3MnO3–BiFeO3 superlattices. Distinct substrate terminations modify magnetic and transport properties. Hall resistance measurements show omnipolar, hysteretic anomalous Hall switching above the Curie temperature, arising from Fe─Mn interfacial exchange, enabling

Asteroseismology of beta Cephei and Be type stars
The thesis focuses on the asteroseismology of main sequence B-type stars, particularly \(\beta\) Cephei and Be stars. Photometric observations of these stars were analysed in order to detect stellar oscillations.

We present a tissue‐stimulator platform for seamless electrode integration with pancreatic tissue, applying uniform electrical stimulation through optimized design with biohybrid 3D printing. Advantageous effects of electrical stimulation on β‐cell function were observed, including enhanced calcium signaling, islet morphology, and maturation.

Nonradial adiabatic oscillations of stars
The classification scheme of mode oscillations in stars is investigated mathematically and physically by using a new phase diagram representation. This technique is presented in order to study the basic equation of motion for linear adiabatic nonradial ...

A Non‐Reciprocal Architected Porous Medium
ABSTRACT In several fluid flow, energy‐dumping, and energy‐harvesting applications, a dominant flow direction or dominant resistance direction is desirable. In this study, we propose a simple modular geometry that doubles flow resistance in one direction relative to the opposite direction, while maintaining laminar viscous flow.

Signals of the QCD Phase Transition in the Heavens
The modern phase diagram of strongly interacting matter reveals a rich structure at high-densities due to phase transitions related to the chiral symmetry of quantum chromodynamics (QCD) and the phenomenon of color superconductivity.
